I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I definitely appreciate other feedback as well. It was my third time listening to it with the previous two back to back listens two nights at the Austin theatre. Definitely stronger the third time around for me personally.
The intro drum beat and riff are fire. The second half of this song is fucking incredible, highlight of the album by far for me. Hard To Imagine 2022-2023 outro vibes

I love everything about this song, and didn't expect to love it so much. From the beginning all the way through. React, Respond and Running are top tracks for me, but this may just slide right in the top 3.
This feels like 2 completely different songs put together, to me. I get why they are purposely joined together, and I like both parts for different reasons, but the 2nd half is my favorite part of the whole album and I just want MORE of it. I want the 2nd half of Setting Sun to go on and on. That is Exactly the sound of Pearl Jam that appeals to me, forever. I would like 3 or 4 songs like this on an album (or more?)

Yeah, for sure. I want them to keep playing or at least end and then have a hidden track that picks back up like Release and gives you about 3 more minutes of awesomeness.
The intro to this track gives me chills. The percussion + guitar riff is pure beauty. Then this flows in to a powerful rocker. What a song, and in particular a spectacular closing track. Setting Sun is a top tier closer.
Favorite song on the album with WFS a close second. The intro sounds like Jack Irons drums era and from the midway point on, this song is some of the best I've ever heard from this band. Absolutely has Hard to Imagine vibes with those soaring vocals and guitar. I'm blown away and I haven't felt that way about new PJ material in many years. This one will rip in a live setting.
I was wondering if those early drums were Matt or Josh. ** I guess we shall see in concert. Sounds like it could be by hand? I'm definitely not knowledgeable on this.
Ed singing in his lower vocal range gives me chills. Sounds So good. No need to go high, unless the original song melody requires it.
The 2nd half is my favorite part of the whole album. Exactly the type of PJ that I've been wanting to hear. THANK YOU!!
**edit: Its definitely Matt on all drums. When I opened the CD, it credits: Matt drums, percussion Josh piano, keyboards, guitar

It sort of reminded me of Jack Irons. Maybe that's why I really like this one...

Josh is only credited with guitar & keyboards in the liner notes, and Watt had said that unleashing Matt was a priority. I think it’s all him.

Great closer! My second favorite of the new album.
Seems intentional to me. Absolutely fanatic closer. I got chills just like when listening to River Cross.
