Remember the Gigaton wall in NYC?  Maybe they had them in other places too.  That was exciting and this reminds me of that.

Hard to tell how it sounds from the short clip... Sounds very produced though.

I love this.  Love it.   I think it was McCready who said Andrew Watt got them back to their original sound but modernized it.  I can see that from Dark Matter and this clip.  Up tempo for PJ became pseudo punk, versus driving songs like Even Flow, Why Go, Hail Hail, etc...

I pointed my flip phone at the sky and it played all 48 minutes of the album. Thanks, Pearl Jam, for continuing to embrace old-school technology.

Watched this vid of Jeff on a college basketball podcast (https://youtu.be/off7FNxXhmY?si=JP2lyJEeOTnFqcQk), & he spoke about ‘Running’. Seemed to imply that the album had needed another rocker lower down the order.

Was that purely the production that was the issue or was it the quality of the tunes too?

Ten is famously overproduced. It's their most successful album and yet they never worked with Rick Parashar again, nor do they ever really mention him. (Did anyone even acknowledge him at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction? I don't recall.) And they had Brendan O'Brien remix it for the boxed set, further indicating that they weren't thrilled with the production on the original release.
