No, they don't. I saw several on the list that don't list Dolby Atmos.
    It's a hopeless situation...

HOLY FAR KING HELL. This album is PURE FIRE 🔥 🔥 🔥

There is not a weak track, even those a little sceptical of Something Special needn’t worry.

My personal favourite was Waiting for Steve. But boy, there are so many amazing tracks. We’re going to be playing this one for a looong time.

As mentioned, the cinema screen illuminates slightly so as your eyes adjust it does brighten somewhat. Visualisers were a little different than I was expecting. They were great and it was nice to have the lyrics. Nice cameo from JA
so we do get lyrics on screen?
    Yes.

Yes, the first listen is without anything on the screen (which I loved!).

Cineplex theatres are adding a 2nd showing on the 16th.

    First @ 7pm. Second @ 9:45pm.

Aargh. Had I known this would be available I wouldn't have gotten tickets for the 7:00 showing. I have another event I wanted to attend starting at 6:15 so I am only going to catch 20 minutes of it and then dash off to the theatre. Luckily they are both downtown Vancouver, within a few blocks of each other.

So, when it's played back a second time and there are "visuals"....what are they?  Is it just a kaleidoscope type thing?

I think the problems are in England or Australia. So hopefully our theaters here are better.

That would be cool. If no shirt, maybe a theatre cup or mug.

Now to find one of those posters.
Yes! A Dark Matter / PJ theatre cup! That would be amazing.

Yes ours was unlistenable, like the theater staff didn’t set the audio correctly. Sound only coming from the front channel, no bass, muddy lyrics, weird droning reverb crap. I might call tomorrow for a refund but they seemed pretty incompetent there and it might just piss me off more to have to relive it.

Pretty sure Dolby Atmos should sound better than what I just heard… damn shame but lesson learned to wait until the actual release.

    My experience….

Album preview at record store was a bust. They barely had the volume up.

The movie theater experience was better, but not by much. No low end at all it was like every sound was coming from the front. For what was advertised, it was kind of awful.

That’s said. I dig the album.

Lesson learned is this record needs to be played loud.

Theater audio was terrible at my location. Really disappointing. I’m so glad to hear it was not just me (that I’m losing my hearing !). That said the record is great. Can’t wait to hear this on my Sonos system Friday morning.

Was in a Dolby Atmos theater and sound quality was pretty bad. It made judging the songs musically pretty difficult.

Running and Wreckage are the standouts both musically and lyrically. Dark Matter is above average.

Scared of Fear was forgettable. React, Respond had some very cringe lyrics. Something Special felt like the worst of dad rock.

Upper Hand was better musically than lyrically. Setting Sun was just ok.

The other songs I need to listen to again in better quality to form an opinion.

Right now, album is sitting at a solid 6/10. Eddie really over singing on a lot of songs.
