They should decide in time. Then they might be able to sell a few more tickets. Provided the price is right.

Sounds like they should be good to go for 14th May opening with Elbow following an inspection:  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-68989562

First proper gig went ahead last night successfully, and Black Keys will play today, so that’s good: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2jddjy711vo

Only 12k there. I think PJ and others also have reduced capacity for the first few months wonder how that will work, just less GA ?

PJ has not sold the seats behind the stage (though I guess this may be due to the screen if they are using that in Europe)

Didn't think it had behind stage? The reduced capacity seems to have been planned for the first 6 months for all shows and isn't because of the recent issues

I haven't seen any artists selling tickets behind the stage at Co-op Live yet. Apart from Billie Eilish, who has her stage in the middle of the arena and won't be performing there until 2025. But regardless, only around 1,500 people can fit into the areas behind the stage. As the organizer himself has documented, the arena only runs at a reduced capacity during the opening season. Which is a great pity. I would have preferred a full arena.

Is there a level 2 ? Is that what's closed for the first shows ?

Level 2 is a mix of box seats on both sides and a fairly large area which, together with Level 3, forms the upper tier and is located seamlessly below Level 3.

  • I was at the arena last night for Eagles - 90 quid seats literally 2nd last row of arena. Sound was fabulous and great sight lines, pic below but note all seated config. You can see where seats go from pale to dark on bottom tier where they retract to for a large standing area like PJ gig (I’m standing for that one) this is from row 24 block 308

It’ll be a great gig. You just know Eddie will get a kick out of playing a brand new venue.
