Berlin - 10c reserved seat assignment good or bad?

Ok. What I have somehow been afraid of happend...

Now the seat confirmations for reserved seats in Berlin have arrived and actually we have gotten really ?good? seats - at least on paper. The sectors are those closest to the stage, but at Waldbühne I have a feeling that this is only half the truth?

I (and surely many others) have been assigned seats in sector A1, first sector from the right of stage, and even on the very right of the sector. I have been to all PJ Waldbühne shows so far and have never sat close to A1 or probably even parts of A2 as they are so far right and beginning to turn away from the stage that I thought you wouldn't see anything. I usually took seats in the lower part of D2 or B1.

I checked another concert at Waldbühne with reserved seating (Peter Maffay - see here:https://www.eventim.de/event/peter-maffay-band-we-love-rock-n-roll-farewell-tour-2024-waldbuehne-berlin-18001943/) and for that show the seats in A1 and E2 are actually considered "eventuell sichtbehindert" (maybe obstructed view) and are price category 4 - even worse than the seats on the second rank...

So.... anybody with experience - who has already sat there (A1 - lowest 10 rows), please report your experience (quickly, so that I know if I need to buy seats in the public sale)

  • snippet from the other concert - E2 / A1 marked as "obstructed view" and as a worse category than the light blue marked seats

  • Picture from the web, actually from Pearl Jam there at 2018, taken from the last row of A1 for refrence.

From here it looks terrible, but I can't say how much better it is from the rows further down

This is the exact view from section A.. I guess starting from seats numbered 10 and up in the higher rows it will be hard to see properly.

At this point I expect B, C and D to be Diamond Level and especially expensive.

Yeah but that is acutally the view of section A2. A1 are the seats on the right side of this picture. betweeen the steps and the green hedge. If you have a seat number 01 in sector A1 you sit on the very right side at the green hedge, next to that wall

doesn't seat number 1 start always from the middle, as that is where you enter from?

actually not at Waldbühne what it looks like (again taken from the seating chart of the other concert)

E2 is the same as A1 only on the other side. E2 is the leftmost sector, E1 is the one before. Which row did you sit in? I have a feeling that the first 10 rows or so might be really good?

2022 I think 4 or 5th row next to the bushes.
    2024 we got:
    Sec E2, Row 16,
    Sec E2, Row 23,

One thing I can't see how they will do is the seat numbers since it's all benches and if the people are a little bigger next to you, you loose half your sit ...

How was row 4/5 next to the bushes?

Thank you so much for the response / opinion. :) Having looked at different photos I actually think the rows 5 / 6 will be amazing. I got one night in A1 and one night in E2 within those rows!

The seats with obstructed view will at least have the screen, but what a shitty excuse to just not build the stage a bit further in the back.
Well, the people who built the venue and stage have done some pretty fucked up things, so this doesn't rank very high on that list.

Here's another picture from the E-section (2018). Don't know if this helps anyone, but here you go:

This side was better, since it was in the shade during the long wait.
