Glad it was a good show. I’m seeing them Saturday. Not thrilled with the set list. Hopefully they change it up.

Seeing as how it’s a new album tour I’d say expect a lot off Happiness Bastards and a lot of hits with one or two more rare songs and a cover or two. The show wasn’t too long so if you’re going to get specific songs you may want to go to multiple shows.

I have no problem with a bunch of new songs but nothing off Amorica, Lions, or Three Snakes is terrible. and only one off By Your Side.

Yeah they played a lot off the first two albums. If they cut that number by half then they could diversify and pick from more albums. Whether they do that or not on other tour stops will be interesting to see. Either way last night was great and I have zero complaints.

no problem. Lainey Wilson came out and sang on two songs. Jack White’s wife’s band opened the show. They were kind of a goth meets punkabilly type band.

I went to the show last night in Atlanta and it was incredible! New songs sounded great and they played "Then She Said My Name" for the first time since 1999. I thought the band was tight and it was insanely loud at times. A tight 90 minute set, which was a little surprising, but the energy never let down until the end when they closed with the new song, "Kindred Friend." I totally get older fans being upset with the fact that the 2 plus hour shows with lengthy jams, are a thing of the past (sounds like another fanbase....) but this was a great show and i will definitely try to get to another show, possibly Charlotte, on this tour.

Good to hear and glad you enjoyed the show. I almost made the drive over from Birmingham but couldn't pull the string.

What's your review of the show? I've been waiting to see setlists and hear what people think before pulling the trigger on tickets.

It was a fun show but they only play 90 minutes these days. They’ll play 5-6 songs off the new album and a lot off their first two as well. For many people that’s great. For me I’d love a lot more from Amorica/Three Snakes/Lions/By Your Side but it is what it is at this point. I really love the way they’re playing Angels these days. The new guitarist plays a beautiful almost country slide part that sounds amazing. They did a little bit of the old school Crowes jamming on Thorn which was fun to see. I will say the new songs come off good live.

Thanks. It may not be my absolute ideal either but still sounds like it's worth going.
  • I'm trying to keep my enthusiasm up for the show knowing what they are leaving off the setlist but I do love their second album the best, and I am digging their new album, so I should still be happy.

Setlists look pretty good in my view. Light on extended jams but pretty adventurous as far as song selection. The format is a little predictable.

Just a heads up, no tubes at the merch stand. They just give you rubber bands and they have plastic bags too.

Fun show in Oakland last night, got to hear 60% of the new album. They dusted off “Just Say You’re Sorry” for the first time since 1997.

Man, I thought I was a huge Crowes fan but I’ve never heard this song before. Just listened on YouTube.

I caught the show at The Greek in LA. They sounded great!  I was  stoked to hear Cursed Diamond and Gone from Amorica. Ronnie Wood came out four songs in and they killed “Stay With Me”. The 90 min set was a bit of a bummer. The show was over at 10:30. Whatever, I got to see a real, live  Rolling Stone.
  • I'm looking forward to tonight's show. Hope we get something off of Amorica too.

  • I'm not going to lie, that was a fantastic show! I know it was only 95 minutes but they packed a lot into that time frame. I did not leave feeling short changed.

And I got a song from Amorica and what a song - She Gave Good Sunflower.

They also went deep. "Paint an 8" threw me off as my friend looked to me to tell him what album this was on and all I could do was shrug. Of course I now see it's on The Lost Crowes which I have but don't play it very often.

I'm still coming down from the high of seeing this show.
