As has been mentioned already, a band that is headlining a venue is not going to open for another band at the same venue the day before their gig.  They just aren’t.
Plus that may not be enough time to get their costumes dry cleaned
😂😂😂 yeah the singer looks like he just stepped out of an Alladin movie set

People seem to have some strong opinions about this band. Me personally, I don't like them and wouldn't go see them play, but different strokes for different folks as they say.

    Now THAT would be ironic.

I’m not a fan of Greta Van Fleet but there is no way they are opening and then headling their own show at same venue.

There is a much better chance that their singer joins Pearl Jam as a surprise guest to sing SuperBloodWolfMoon or something like that but I hope that doesn’t happen

If GVF was a dog, what dog would they be?

Probably a little yappy dog. Led Zeppelin would be something like a German Shepherd that can be both friendly and fierce, but GVF is a Chihuahua.

Soul Asylum would be the people's choice.

80's and 90's MPLS legends.  Dave is still the singer and they still release music and tour.

(And along with Taylor Swift and the 1975 they were one of the hardest records to get during RSD lol)

Opener for St. Paul hasnt been announced yet.  Greta is playing there Sunday Sept 3rd.  Their show before that is Augusy 12.  Perfect chance for them to get to town on Thursday and open the the two shows for PJ then headline on  Sunday.  Make this happen.
Usually support acts don't headline a show in the same city. I'm sure there's exceptions to that rule, but it just seems counterintuitive.

I was actually hoping Bono Jr's band would be the opener after I checked them out. Glorious Sons would be a good choice too.

I saw GVF real early on at Lincoln Hall in Chicago. They were so young. The lead singer (Josh??) was almost awkward to watch on stage. He hadn't developed much of a stage presence yet. As a collective you could see the talent was there. I see them now and the whole stage presence, with the costumes and everything, and all seems so contrived.
