Opener for St. Paul hasnt been announced yet.  Greta is playing there Sunday Sept 3rd.  Their show before that is Augusy 12.  Perfect chance for them to get to town on Thursday and open the the two shows for PJ then headline on  Sunday.  Make this happen.
Forced to endure, what I cannot forgive.

Not really the crowd here to get you support on this one. I enjoy GVF, but a lot of people do not.

There will be some really happy people around here if this happens.

I think a lot of minds would be changed if they heard them live.  Mine was.  Their newest album is amazing and not nearly as Zeppeliny as the earlier stuff.

I don't really see this happening, but I'd be fine with it. No offense to Josh, but it would be better than PluralOne last tour.

I don’t see it happening since GVF cut into PJ time @ B&B.  And for the sake of the St. Paul people I hope that don’t have to endure them.  They weren’t LZ at B&B - he was trying to act like Freddie Mercury and was horrible at it.

As for Josh, he should have just sang all AIC.  He sounded great when he did that (Nashville maybe?).

I would be pretty surprised if a band that is headlining the xcel center opens at the same arena just a few days before. But I would laugh pretty hard after all the hate they get here. They put on a pretty good show and the guitarist jams

I get the impression they don’t think they’re “opener” material anymore.

Hands down, Rival Sons would be my pick for opener right now. Going to see them in Detroit next month and they've got a bunch of headlining and opening dates coming up. After Pearl Jam and Tool they're creeping up on third for most times live for me. Unless it's PJ, try to catch a headlining show!!

Saw Cage the Elephant on their first album tour open for Silversun Pickups and Manchester Orchestra.  All were at their peak and amazing.

Interesting.  Fair enough.  Just saw them last year.  Maybe they've improved.  Been to hundreds of shows and they sounded amazing live.

If those were shows I was going to, I'd be stoked to see them, but it's scary how polarizing the band is.   People either love them or loathe them.  It's like young nickelback.

As has been mentioned already, a band that is headlining a venue is not going to open for another band at the same venue the day before their gig.  They just aren’t.
