I love blanket statements about massive areas.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Joe T. Garcia's. It might be a short uber ride from where you are.

Terrible food but great setting. That being said, my wife is making me take her there tomorrow when she flies in to join me on this trip.

Patio fantastic, margaritas fantastic, this stretch of weather also fantastic, the food is good tex mex, not great IMO. Also, I never turn it down when the suggestion comes up.

I've always wanted to try Joe T's and am planning on going this evening unless someone has a better option.  I assume it's comparable to Matt's down here in Austin.

  • Someone posted on FB that they said on PJ Radio on XM that the show is a go.
  • How are there tickets on Seatgeek?  I thought there is no way to transfer these.

I worked at both as 20-something. Matt’s is infinitely better food. Joe Ts patio is way better but the two are very similar overall.  I can’t wait to get back to Matt’s on Sunday afternoon.

  • TM did this to me the other day too. While they should be at the top of the lookup they are all the way down right before where the ticket prices start increasing.

  • I feel like I heard parking lots open at 4:30, which is probably ok for the most part, but if I decided to go here in a few do you think they'd let me in?
  • Upgrade my sec 106 to 125. Mike's side!! It's going to be great.

I hesitate to continue to derail this thread, but you’re right, I should have phrased that differently:

”I am deeply concerned and frankly disgusted by the politics coming out of Texas and other Republican-run states (let’s just pick rampant voter suppression and draconian abortion bans as examples for the bs going on there). That said, I wish everyone who’s down there for PJ tonight a great concert and a most rocking time.”

    Better?

No.  For someone who hates Texas politics, I find it odd that you find the need to post in a Ft Worth show thread.   Take your political opinions and self absorbed need to be heard somewhere else.

R/T non-stop airfare from Indy to DFW with AA miles, one night at the Home2Suites (20 min walk to Dickies) with HH points, and just scored a single in Sec 123, Row 6, Seat 13, right next to Sec 124. The planets seem to have aligned for this...and now I feel less gutted about the Deer Creek postponement.

    FTW2, here I come! See y'all there!

home2suites is money. Less than 20 min walk. Restaurants galore behind you. Enjoy the show.

  • Coming for Friday. Now thinking I may try to see the Longhorns Saturday. Have to use Stubhub. Anybody had any issues using that before?
  • Can anyone confirm how the GA line and wristbands were handled for night 1?  Were numbered wristbands handed out early in the day and then entry order determined by lottery closer to entrance time?  Or was it first come first serve by lineup arrival?  Thanks for any clarity on this.

Yes, Matt has COVID and Eddie had the regular flu. You could hear it in his voice when he talked but when he sang I couldn’t tell anything was wrong with his voice. No word on whether Matt will be back for Friday's show yet. Fingers crossed.
