Final update on my Credit Card fiasco....I got the "Your card was declined" email and link to resubmit Wednesday night. Resubmitted right away. I got the "We got your submission" email right after that. DIdnt hear anything until 10 minutes before Verified fan, when I got confirmed for the 2 chicago shows that I was previously confirmed for, before the double charge that led to the decline.
Whew! Thanks Ten Club!
Great news! So happy you didn’t give in and your persistence paid off!
The verified sale is going so great (sarcasm of course). The tickets we had for N1 in Chicago in 219 on Tuesday until we were reassigned to section 316, are now $500.00 + each. So all our initial tickets are now selling for almost 3 times what we would have paid for them. This process is very broken.

Jalapeno slaw, grits, peach tea pork belly burnt ends, brisket, Turkey, jalapeño popper sausage, ribs…. One of the best bbq spots in Texas looks like McBBQ?! Wowza
Looks amazing to me. Compared to where I live the chain BBQ in the great BBQ places is amazing. Its all perspective.
my only question is are people really buying up all these premium seats they are releasing in waves, or does TM post them and then pull them pretty quick based on response and then recycle them, if they are selling....there are a lot of people paying a lot of money for just ok seats.

I got in the Chicago 2 VF sale right away, and have been in there this whole time, the premium tickets just disappear/sell and then more pop up -over and over, new sections, rows, etc, it's such a racket. Only decent face tickets were singles that were side stage and some nose bleed uppers in the back corners. There are plenty of upper level behind the stage tickets, but that's it.
I got a side stage single but also one in 105 for Chicago night 1
Trying to get 2 tix to Austin 1. Currently waitlisted. Can anyone confirm if the sale is still going on or can I just go about my day? I'm still in the waiting room and it hasn't updated to tell me it's over.

Can't remember PJ Premium or TM Platinum being restricted to verified fans only like today is. Maybe it has been this way before, anyone else know?
It was like this last tour. This is a presale, they won't be restricted when the general on sale happens.
This isn't a presale, sadly. This is the general sale, per the band's twitter "General public tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster Verified Fan, which requires advance registration in order to participate. Registration begins now and closes on April 25 at 5pm PT."
Well it seems that it will generally work out that way, all the tickets are going to be gone before they have a chance at a general on sale. They'll certainly open up premium at some point though, they always drop more later on. Also, for Chicago, it'll be open for resale.

Sounds like the process is working exactly as they designed it. That's the premium pricing. You'll still get your tickets at the same price as before.

Anyone who had a chance to see what the seating chart for the VF sale looks like -- does it give any insight into the question of if TC seats were pushed back for premium? Is it just randomly mixed? or did TC really get so many seats that they are everywhere, from great seats to bad seats (this would be the best case for TC because getting real fans access to tickets, even if they are bad is a great effort by the band). Just wondering what we're seeing.

I got on for St Paul just to see what was available (I already have tickets). Seemed like everything was in the upper level. Anything in the 100s was premium and ranged $400-800.
my only question is are people really buying up all these premium seats they are releasing in waves, or does TM post them and then pull them pretty quick based on response and then recycle them, if they are selling....there are a lot of people paying a lot of money for just ok seats.
Some board members theorized last year that they were pulling Premium inventory & adding it back later to create a false sense of urgency.
But ticketmaster is such a trustworthy company I couldn't imagine them doing that...
I guarantee they do that. I've attempted to purchase tickets, had the tickets disappear prior to check out, and reappear at a higher price. I realize that you were being sarcastic, but I wanted to share my experience.

The whole verified fan thing just seems like a psychological trick to create a sense of urgency and gauge demand. Probably why first timers get verified, and the long term person doesn’t because they’re going to be more chilled out about getting tickets later.

Yep. They are paying $500 so you could pay $162. Or is it better if they both pay $300+? I'll take my $162 price and run

Been stalking the premium tickets for Chicago and just saw my exact seats I was initially given for the 10C lotto listed as premium, so I don't know what the screw-up was, but the 10C seats I was given, and then had taken away, TM is now selling for $549 a pop. leaves you feeling really good.....
"Thank you for contacting us. Sorry to hear of any changes.
We are working on a solution to reassign seats to their final proper seniority based order. You’ll be notified of any changes to your seating assignment in the next week. If you don't receive any confirmation within a week, you can reply back to this email for any updates."
So, we've got another week of this. But first they are letting the verified sale eat up whatever tickets are left before they reseat.
BBQ- anyone going to the Forth Worth that likes bbq should take a drive over to Dallas and visit Sonny Byran’s.. only 2 of them and the original is a tiny place… world renowned, .they’ve shutdown the road so presidents could eat there.. been there since 1910… tons of articles on the place
If you're going to be in Fort Worth skip Sonny's because it doesn't hold a candle to what Fort Worth has to offer. Heims, Hurtados and Panther City to name a few right near the arena. You can also venture 15 minutes out of town and hit the #1 BBQ place in Texas, Goldees, but prepare for long lines there. Can't miss with any of the 4 listed. Original Heims is better than their second location.
