For all the assumptions about journalistic ethics, maybe they called Wrigley and they confirmed it. Even if it started with the bs article doesn’t mean they didn’t vet the info
Kind of my thought. I’m sure that people in media at channel 5 could have connections to media at wrigley.

Channel 5 news Chicago announced August 29 & 31 Wrigley Field
Yet there is nothing on the website of NBC Chicago channel 5 about it when searching for "Pearl Jam" ...
Working in local TV news, I can tell you that tracks. It's a totally different team working on the web, and communication between them is about as broken and nonexistent as it is everywhere else.

Assuming they’re playing bottlerock, how much do you wanna bet that it’s the only show announced on Monday? 🤣
Based on the hints we’ve gotten from Facemeltor, my guess is it’s only bottlerock on Monday, and then the rest of the dates (all legs at once) announced on 2/13. I hope I’m wrong though.
Dimi just confirmed London is O2. I assume some may be interested.

AC/DC fans seem to think this is for Pearl Jam, and Pearl Jam fans seem to think it’s an AC/DC announcement.
Gotta be a big show if there is a press conference. I don’t recall there being a press conference for Foo Fighters or Chris Stapleton, for example. So it’s either PJ, or AC/DC, or . . . I’m out of ideas who else would require a press conference. Maybe Paul McCartney or Taylor Swift would be big enough for a press conference?
People can laugh but Billy Joel has been known to do press conferences for stadium shows.
Patting myself on the back for this one

having the whole tour announced at once might be easier for european people like me who are thinking of going to multiple shows in europe because if everything is announce at once , US fans might give priority to US shows...at least i hope so LOL
No formal tour announcement yet I believe but I am MORITIFIED to see Perth is not on the lists that are circulating yet!!! Reminds me of 1995 (Vitalogy) and their first Oz tour when we had to petition the band to come to Perth! In the end they came and had a great time! Came back in 1998 (Yield tour) for two more shows, then 2003, 2006, 2009, 2014... So it's been 10 fucking years since they've been Down Under and they'd better goddamn come to Perth! If these are Arena shows we have a wicked 17,000 venue, if they need more space we've got HBF Park which can hold 30,000 for an outdoor show. And if they need even bigger then we've got a fucking 60,000 seat stadium! I'm hoping that the official release hasn't been made yet because they are still finalising venues (Perth & Adelaide) but Eddie, Stone, Jeff, Mike, Matt, Boom and Josh...PLEASE COME TO PERTH! I have wished for so long, how I wish for you today. We all walk the long road! ❤️🙏
(WA in this pic stands for Western Australia and yes, that's my car. The photo was taken just south of Yallingup where I know the guys have had a great time. Got me a big wave!)

I would not expect lottos to happen at same time. Shows announced at same time does not mean lottos at same time.
I like the O2 actually, sound is excellent, great bars and restaurants dotted all around it, got my hotel booked ready and close by too, right by London city airport

Yeah thought it would be O2. Not a fan of that venue tbh but it was inevitable.
Much much better than Wembley Arena, Finsbury Park etc. In all honesty the only place in London better than O2 for a band of PJ’s size is Hyde Park.
Having never been to O2, and considering going this time around, can y'all elaborate on what makes it good / not good?
The arena is quite nice in my honest opinion, good sound, clean, lots of food and drink options outside etc. The worst thing is the location as there’s only really 1 transport route back to Central London, the Jubilee line on the tube, and you can queue for ages to get home

I like it too. No worse than getting to Wembley Arena. Regards getting back to central London, If you are in no rush, hang for 30min or so and the mad rush is cleared.
If the Chicago image is real, then I'm def out for that one. Just put the deposit down for our yearly beach trip to Topsail, which falls on those dates. Really hoping that Baltimore rumor is real, already being there for the Boss will be awesome.

And the bars are open for a while after the show, so as long as you are not in a rush it's fine

Personal opinion apart from what’s been said above is if you’re in lower tier or floor it’s great. Upper tier (400s) is very steep and a touch distant. Only experienced the stones and pj there, both twice. V looking forward to Manchester if that’s the new co-op live arena, also that one is a 40m drive home
I’m considering doing the London shows at the O2. Any idea how difficult it is to get GA tickets through 10c? I’ve only been to shows in the US and Canada, most of which have been on the east coast and which have been incredibly difficult to score GA tickets to, and I’m wondering whether that is also the case in Europe. Is GA just a small section right in front of the stage like in the US, or is it the entire floor? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Entire floor. U.K./Europe opposite to the US and GA tickets easier to get than seated tickets

Visit the Field Museum while you're there, it's just a few stops away.
That most likely, although Providence Park is open for concerts this year too... Green Day, Foo's tickets already purchased.
