America got what they wanted. I won't say Fuck the country, because I love what we are supposed to stand for Will say Fuck Trump, though. He is a terrible human. A terrible human who most of America wanted to be President.
Dems did a good job of pointing out his felonies, rapes, crimes, frauds, etc. If the electorate is willing to ignore all that then it doesn't matter how her campaign was run.
The concern that people like me have is how? How can that be ignored?
The rest of the free world is concerned about this.

😂 we now have elected not one but twice a serial rapist an adulterer a Russian lap boy for Putin a Felon did I miss something?
You missed that Kamala's campaign was awful. She rested her laurels on being an incumbent. They blew it.
I get that but 70 million voted for him that don’t give two shits about having a felon in charge yes democrats blew it!
They lost it. If her campaign was stronger they could have won. They took it for granted and got schooled by an NYC slumlord who knows dirty dealing and had won in the past. How does a felon get elected president in the US? Better advertising and handshake deals. Sad as it may be. EDIT: Obama won because he stood up there and spoke. Loud and clear. That was missing this time around.

She was not a great candidate, but I thought her campaign made the most of what she had to offer, which was not anything particularly compelling other than (and this is a big "other than") that she was not Trump. The fact of the matter is that Harris would have been very unlikely to have won a competitive primary against other Democratic contenders, and the further fact of the matter is that she was vice president, and thus in position to claim the nomination by acclamation when Biden stepped aside, because she was selected from an intentionally limited pool of possible candidates when Biden declared that he was going to select a woman of color to be his running mate. I don't think I've ever voted for someone for president before with less confidence that they would actually excel in the position. But she was the obvious choice because of the alternative.
I hope we'll have a female president sooner rather than later, but an admittedly small sample size suggests that running female candidates against Trump is a bad strategy.
Or you could just blame me. In 2010, I voted against Harris for California Attorney General and she won. In 2024, I voted for Harris for president and she lost. I'm a reverse bellwether.
EDIT: A caveat that I should have mentioned, and that should precede all thinkpieces about what it all means, is that Trump, in victory, will win, at most, a bare majority of the total votes cast. (It's quite possible he will actually end up just under 50 percent once all the votes are counted.) You don't need a majority of the (popular) vote to win and the power you gain by winning is not diminished based on the percentage of he vote you carried, but it is hard to make sweeping claims about "America" or "the American people" making a clear choice when you may be talking about a candidate winning with 49.8 percent of the vote.
Wish this sentiment holds steady. But there will undoubtedly be forthcoming protests in all the hot spots by those just looking for an excuse to smash a window.

I doubt it. At least the outgoing Admin won't incite anyone to march to the Capitol.
So in January Harris will certify that trump wins the election. No crying, no destruction of the capitol, no discussion as to whether or not she can reject the votes and "send them back to the states", etc.
To anyone here that doesn't see the difference in integrity I really feel sorry for you and your family.

So Kamala called fuck face to congratulate him on the victory that’s the difference right there! Remember fuck face never called Biden and didn’t even show up at the inauguration! So yeah there’s no comparison fuck face is a dirt bag.
I think Portnoy has it right. The Dems had one of the worst campaigns ever. And that is why they lost. I am not a barstool humper, but his take sounds very familiar to what I have been saying all along.
