RFK is a bit nuts but I consider him the silver lining to Trump's second term.
He's the only big-time player in a long time that's talked about the ridiculous poisoned/ultra-processed diet Americans eat. I think he could do a lot of good as Sec of Health and Human Services. He's a bit anti-vax for my taste but I have some hope for MAHA as much as I hate MAGA. (The real question is will the GOP ever actually go for more regulations, which is how European countries eat healthier than us.)
His ability to think critically and grasp the scientific method isn’t there. He’s a grievance peddler who talks smooth.
...talks smooth?
Smooth may not be the best description. His choice of words is cleverly done to where he’ll make make an inflammatory statement, but within what he said there’s plausible deniability where he can then backtrack and claim “that’s not what I said/meant”. E.g. he’ll make a blanket anti-vax statement, then later claim he’s for safe vaccines.
I don't really understand all the science, either but I do know America is outrageously obese and while you can point to personal choices you can also look at all the unhealthy food being pushed on us.
(The irony that the man for whom RFKJ will be working eats the foods exclusively is not lost on me.)

RFK would be in a position to ban vaccines. Polio - coming to a kid near you.
He was never a "democrat" - not in this cycle. From day one he was trying to help Trump. If you don't realize that you were not paying attention.

4 years ago Joe said he'd vote for a monkey before he'd vote for either Trump or Biden. Dude's a fucking chimp himself. Plus he's good friends with Dana White, who we all know who he supports.

I don't know if this means anything, but it was satisfying:
Earlier today, I was in line to exit the freeway, right at the point where the exit starts. There were a couple of dozen cars behind me lined up in the exit lane. In my driver's-side mirror, I saw a huge truck barreling up in the right lane, clearly intending to illegally cross the solid white line and cut off all the waiting cars. Then I noticed he had a huge Trump flag on top of the truck. He tried to cut in right in front of me and I thought, "Not happening, buddy." When he saw that I wasn't letting him in, he sped up and tried to cut in front of the car ahead of me. They wouldn't let him in either. Neither would the driver of the second car ahead of me. The guy had no choice but to give up because he had now run out of room. He went from trying to save himself two minutes at everyone else's expense to now having to take a minimum ten-minute detour to get to the street where he was trying to exit. It was glorious.
If Trump wins tomorrow, at least I had this fleeting moment of satisfaction from earlier today. I wonder how many times the guy has complained about undocumented immigrants "cutting the line" or some such.

I had a similar occurrence recently, too, woman tried to cut a merge line on the left and then the breakdown lane on the right, yelling at me to let her in front of me - with a mile long line of traffic ahead of us and a quarter of a mile line behind us. She didn't like what I had to tell her.
I've probably said it before, but living in a red area, there is this incredible sense of entitlement among a certain faction of people. This must be what they were worried about with giving away participation trophies when we were younger.
Lol can't believe Rogans endorsement is a headline...like where is the Kid Rock headlines?
Tim Waltz or Kamala should have done the pod
I don't know...now I wonder if Rogan was planning a sabotage
It was so fucking stupid to hear Musk say that if Harris wins this might be our "last election"...and Rogan agreed. How fucking monumentally stupid.
Agreed on both points. I've always thought of Rogan as a bit of a dipshit, so I'm unsurprised about the conversation w/ Elon.
I'm also unconvinced Kamala appearing on that show would have been a better way to spend the last week and a half as opposed to being on the ground in the swing states. Sure, Rogan's audience is one she could stand to gain ground with, but OTOH, I'm skeptical about how many of them would have been undecided these last couple of weeks.
She might have had more to lose than gain by traveling to Texas for that interview.

It was a trap that she intelligently avoided. There was no gain there. The Robros aren’t going to be convinced and it would have been nothing but sound bites for the white supremacy echo chamber. And certain posters on here to crow about. Fuck Joe and his minions. They’ve given up on democracy because their manhood has been threatened.

Because Bernie would have gone on and done six hours.
