Canada

U S. Leg 1, now Europe. Both have seen cancellations late in the run of shows. If you are serious about seeing Pearl Jam in the fall, try to get to Canada. Nothing is a sure thing, but the risk of illness/injury/cancellation increases the longer they are on the road. See you in Ottawa.

Agreed.  The risk seems to increase as each show passes, sadly.

This is exactly the reason why I ditched my OKC tickets and decided to go to Ottawa instead.

It was also an outlier. Meanwhile this year it's three straight tour legs with postponements/cancellations going back to the Earthlings.

Lots of people wanting outdoor shows last year and this year and now somehow an outdoor shows environment and weather are the reason for indoor shows to be cancelled. Pretty crazy.

Ed solo in Providence the night of the win and then again in Boston the next night. Those shows and the Stanley Cup are forever linked in my mind.

These cancelations in Europe had nothing to do with it being at the end of the tour though. That was just a coincidence with where Paris landed is it not? Would we not have had the same outcome if Paris was the first stop of the tour and same weather/environment issues?

Hard to speculate at this point. The heat certainly didn’t help; just spent two weeks in Italy and it was brutal. Let’s just hope it’s all bad luck and they can make it to Amsterdam (which was supposed to be the opening dates of this Euro run and which I was supposed to attend).

I’m usually not fond of the tour openers as they are often shorter and more standard/safe sets, but let’s just say Qc City, being the first date of the second leg of the NA run, meaning rested voice and less Covid risks, will have as much hype if not more than the 2016 show.

Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised if fatigue on top of the terrible conditions played a role, but that is speculation.
