Totally misconstrued what Dimon said, out of context.  I read this interview yesterday because I think Jamie Dimon is the smartest guy in business and he is more left than right, but tries to be politically agnostic.  His point was, if a little tariff is inflationary, but good for national security, that might be a good tradeoff.  But it's happening so businesses needs to "get over it" and prepare.  He was talking about business leaders, not "people".

Inflationary may not be related to tariffs in many instances. Eggs, a basic staple, and connected to a ton of other products, prices are rising fast. Harris and Biden were terrible at the inflation argument.

 The issue with the first trump term was that he was asleep at the wheel. While arguing his election conspiracies Non stop, the supply chain broke, and the inflation crisis of 2021 was born. Harris didn’t even attempt to pin inflation on trump. Democrats are lost beyond lost.

this is history repeating itself. Trump controls the narrative, focus on tariffs, as an American net export product is set to push up inflation. Trump and our now missing gop friends will find out about this in a few months, when it’s too late to stop the impact on this causing inflation throughout the grocery store. Jamie Dimon isn't talking about eggs in this discussion though.  I'm not arguing that eggs aren't on the rise, but I'm not aware of us importing eggs in large numbers.  I think it's just a small fraction compared to what we produce.

Thank god my eggs are produced in my own backyard. Going to be hard to grow the flock this year with Avian flu around though. Down to just a dozen.

Jamie Dimon isn't talking about eggs in this discussion though.  I'm not arguing that eggs aren't on the rise, but I'm not aware of us importing eggs in large numbers.  I think it's just a small fraction compared to what we produce.  

Wasn’t looking to be contentious, just that the egg story is being ignored by the media now as they focus on tariffs. Eggs do have a surprising impact on food prices, and ya know the high grocery costs won him the election because when it suited him, food prices were everything and tariffs were almost ignored by voters during the campaign.
