this is history repeating itself. Trump controls the narrative, focus on tariffs, as an American net export product is set to push up inflation. Trump and our now missing gop friends will find out about this in a few months, when it’s too late to stop the impact on this causing inflation throughout the grocery store. Jamie Dimon isn't talking about eggs in this discussion though.  I'm not arguing that eggs aren't on the rise, but I'm not aware of us importing eggs in large numbers.  I think it's just a small fraction compared to what we produce.  

Wasn’t looking to be contentious, just that the egg story is being ignored by the media now as they focus on tariffs. Eggs do have a surprising impact on food prices, and ya know the high grocery costs won him the election because when it suited him, food prices were everything and tariffs were almost ignored by voters during the campaign.

Eggs, flour, milk, butter, vegetable oil, sugar all have a down market impact on prices like gas at the pump. Gas goes up it impacts other sectors of the economy. Price of basic raw commodities/ingredients goes up, cost of groceries/dining out/ fast food goes up. But hey, just stop buying gas or eggs, that’ll show em.
