A lot (all?) of the arenas have downsizing capacity. The stage could be directly at midcourt/center ice. The upper level(s) don't have to be sold.
If tickets continue to sell, the upper levels could be opened up if necessary.
But even then, you might as well just use a theater.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -

interesting enough a certain fellow was considering a tour that would line up very well with this timeline and promoting energy efficiency and non farm food.In fact, it would line up to the exact same ending of that possible tour.
If that were the case, boy am I about to be a very happy camper potentially.Post edited by Doug87 on0 -

At this point, they might as well start labeling every tour Farewell Part 1, 2 etc. because it’s going to take them forever to see all their fans/markets one more time.

They've played small new venues in B'ham, Huntsville, Southaven, JAX, etc. Looks like PJ doing the same, Austin Moody Center opened a year ago, Dickies opened NOV 2019 just before COVID hit. Every venue has it's own P/L and new venues need big sellout shows to be profitable asap.
If Pearl Jam does what they did for the 2022 tour, they shouldn't be too worried about scalpers.
1) Digital tickets only.
2) The only way to transfer is via Fan2Fan.
3) Do whatever The Cure did to restrict people selling TM passwords.
Approx 7k tickets were canceled.

can pj even make any money from a 9 stop arena tour? This whole thing is so weird. Has to be bigger but no leaks other than the nine, crazy0

I doubt they'll do mid-winter, but I can see them do something in May, once the NBA and NHL go into playoffs.
Apparently part of the reason why Columbus had that 2010 show was the local NHL team's failure to make the playoffs. I had heard PJ also had Dallas and State College booked that same date.
