20,000 copies should be enough for everyone to get one.

Its RSD first - meaning it is not limited to RSD - so they'll likely have this batch out for that date and keep printing like they are doing with Easy Street

True. It seems like RSD first releases I have got in the past have predated general releases by about 4-6 months. So on the off chance that you can't grab one of the RSD releases, they will be plentiful after a bit. I don't remember how the PJ Alive single was last year. I think I remember 10C had it too, but I can't remember if it was right at the RSD date or a while later.

we can't make assumptions though.
What do you mean? Thats exactly what RSD First means for any release.

The way things are, there are very few records they are able to keep pressing. I imagine Easy Street only ever got a 2nd pressing which has hung around in stores for ages now. Stuff like Appetite for Destruction, Nevermind, Rumours stuff like that probably gets pressed every couple of years due to constant demand.
I guess with it being RSD first it means they could press more if there was enough demand.
Its a big number which you would think will satisfy the masses although it seems too high IMO. I wouldnt count on this being pressed again any time soon after RSD either. They cant even get new records out on time these days.

They did. I got my Alive vinyl and cassette from 10C.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
Honestly cant believe that number. That seems really high.
The Dead puts out numbers like that.
Anything in the 5K range if you do a little hustle is obtainable.
That seems to be the number where you can bank on picking one up, but it is such a crap shoot as to how the local stores get allocated copies. Thankfully doing a little Google sleuthing can usually uncover a copy of something you want.

I see what you're saying. With pressing plants being crushed for orders a lot of items are still in print but between pressings, where as something like Taylor Swift 1989 RSD was an exclusive and wont be pressed again. I think that if we are here on RSD we will be able to find them, alternatively, do a search for it on ebay and sort by newest listed. Often times stores w/o a website will sell for retail on RSD but they move fast, you could also consider adding it to your want list on Discogs and anytime a record store lists on RSD. you'll get pinged. I dont think it'll be tough to secure.

The interesting part will be the ones put on EBxx right as RSD stores open at shameful price gouging numbers. Hopefully people will be aware enough to know that with that many being pressed they are not going to have to pay the crazy flip price.

I remember watching a YouTube video by Chad Kassem from Acoustic Sounds basically saying if you want a record, you should buy it sooner rather than later cause it might be 3 - 4 years if it’s pressed again.
There were new Crowded House albums that were going for $15 - $25 a few years ago that you can’t even find now and who knows if and when they’ll be pressed again.
