How about you quit making shit up.  The CDC, on its webpage, last updated in Sept 2020, says:

Vaccines are the best defense we have against infectious diseases, but no vaccine is actually 100% safe or effective for everyone because each person’s body reacts to vaccines differently. [123]

    https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/ensuringsafety/history/index.html

Maybe your gov't lied to you, but mine didn't.
    But..but..here says ''safe and effective''..
    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/safety-of-vaccines.html
and also I admire your innocence..
Of course the govt said it's safe and effective. Otherwise it wouldn't release it.  You said 100%. The link doesn't say that.

and yet...if you'd stop being disingenuous and include the text on the entire page, all you have to do is scroll down the page for a millisecond, you'd see this:

    Common Side Effects

Some people have side effects after COVID-19 vaccination, while others might have no side effects. Side effects tend to be mild, such as soreness at the injection site and fever, and should go away within a few days. Learn more about common side effects after COVID-19 vaccination.

Adverse Events (Health Problems) Are Rare

In rare cases, people have experienced more significant adverse events after COVID-19 vaccination. Any health problem that happens after vaccination is considered an adverse event. An adverse event can be caused by the vaccine or can be caused by a coincidental event not related to the vaccine, such as an unrelated fever, that happened following vaccination.

How about to tell that to the thousands of families who believes their lies and now suffering??..
does the vaccine effect your memory??..because you are all forget very easy..

If I could have the final word on this subject (and of course I won't-- it will go on for close to eternity, lol), it would be this:

I'm fairly certain my current autoimmune issue is related to the vaccines.  Because of that, I have lichen planus on my arms and sometimes on my chest, and I have oral lichen planus that has taken a lot of the joy out of eating.  That all sucks.

I'm also fairly certain that a lot of people died of COVID before the vaccines came along, and that sucks even more.

I know for certain that I'm still alive, and that as much as it is uncomfortable much of the time, I can still eat enough to stay nourished.  That is awesome.

I also know for certain that a lot of people are alive today because of the vaccines.  That is even more awesome!

And lastly, we all know that the likelihood of having an adverse reaction the the vaccine is small and the chances of it saving your life is big.

So really, let's just stop this silly nonsense argument and realize nothing is perfect, and that a vaccine, any vaccine, will affect a small percentage of people negatively (frankly, tough shit, that's life*), and a lot of people get to live because we have vaccines.
    Hallelujah!

*P.S. regarding the "(frankly, tough shit, that's life*) statement, I mean that only about myself or might say that about the trouble humans in general have caused.  I would never direct a statement like that specifically to another person suffering an illness or disorder.

You don't need a mask.     Later: You need a mask, we didn't want you to panic buy them and hospitals come up short.
It didn't come from a lab in Wuhan.     Later: It very well may have come from a lab in Wuhan, we'll never know.
Vaccines will prevent transmission of Covid.     Later: It will reduce the risk, but prevent you from having severe symptoms...usually.
We must maintain 6 feet distance for safety.     Later:  That number was basically arbitrarily decided and wasn't based on science.

If I ever need surgery, I’m going to ask them to please not wear them. Wouldn’t want their glasses to fog or have trouble breathing. Wouldn’t want to wake up and be frightened too. Be done with them!

This, without any question, made my day…..the whole weekend!!! Sometimes you guys really make me laugh….thanks!

Your gov't lied to you every step of the way.
No you’re mistaken, Trump lied to all of us.  It was he who put the vaccines on warp speed (remember?)
I trusted the doctors, scientists, never trump.  I trusted those intelligent enough to recognize that the % who lived having gotten the vaccine (for those of you who refused) was substantially more than those who were adversely affected.  It’s simple math.  I’m sorry you can’t see that.  The people who died from covid who refused the vaccine even said before they passed that they were wrong for not taking it.

A simple thank you to all of us Guinea pigs who SAVED humanity by having the balls to get the vaccine would suffice.

I can't believe anyone is still even debating this from any side

I’m truly, truly sorry this happened to you.  Why all the good ones….why not the non-believers….

BUT you need to know that your BRAVERY, risking it all in spite of pure proof or years of research, has contributed to the vaccine becoming safer and more effective.  Especially since you report your symptoms, etc. and see your doctor.

Why you?  Who fucking knows when there’s soooo many (insert choice word) in this bat crazy world.  Maybe God knows you'll do the right thing and knew he/she/it could rely on you.

Putting you on my prayer list to feel better soon.

I have to admit, it's easy sometimes to ask, Why  me?  But like you say, who fucking knows?  After a lot of years, I'm finally coming around to the notion that it's better to accept what can't be changed, and then ask, OK, where to from here?  How do I best deal with this?  What am I supposed to learn from this?

As for being a believer, I'm not exactly a Bible thumping believer (although I have read it from cover to cover and highly recommend it!), but I do have a sense that there is a higher power of some sort.  Mother Nature to start with, and beyond that, probably something I can't even imagine.
And I do have a great deal of respect for all the great spiritual leader and figures, but if you told me I could meet one, and only one, I'd have to go with Jesus because he had enough goodness to forgive the unforgiven and enough love to love the unlovable, and enough balls to knock down the tables of the money changers and put them in their place.  My kind of spiritual figure!

You know I USED to think I was a fairly eloquent wordsmith but my ability to convey my feelings/meaning really sucks!

I was trying to be careful with my words after being banned for believing in karma.  I was trying to convey that you believe in climate change, science, vaccines, etc. and that the adverse conditions should be saved for those who rejected every portion of the pandemic.
    Sorry for the confusion.

As for religion, I practice my faith (he/she/it…God?) with no religion attached so I hope you know I wasn’t trying to force an explanation of your beliefs, change them, etc.  I know you probably knew that - I’m just making sure everyone else knows.

If I get reported and banned again I’m still gonna be praying for your recovery Mr. B.

I just watched a video of a guy who admitted he was full on vaccine supportive, and then he slowly descended into the madness of being an anti vaxxer, and still is. He fully supports the idea that ALL vaccines are poison. Every single one of them. That the polio vaccine was useless. If we had "only gotten rid of using pesticides". Well, dipshit, my mom and her sister both got polio at a young age from unpasteurized milk. The polio vaccine saved millions of lives. Said the measles vaccine was totally useless.

You can't fake this kind of stupid.

No one knew anything about this virus so how could they know what to advise us to do?  How could we know that what we did wasn’t going to work?  How, at the time, could we know that wearing masks, social distancing, working from home, etc. wasn’t going to work?

So what got rid of the virus at its height of impact/destruction?  Please enlighten the rest of us.

I choose to believe it was all those things that had an impact on controlling and ending the pandemic- especially the vaccine.

Those of us vaccinated have all posted that we never thought any of it was perfect,   How many of you have admitted that maybe, just maybe, some (or all) worked to end/control covid?

I’m glad we can converse as adults.  I’m at the point where I will respect the opposite opinion when you all start respecting ours.

Anecdotally I can say, I remained working as a truck driver. essential and all that. did have need to stop at truck stops for bathroom breaks and food/snacks/coffee. At the height of it. masked/distanced. being exposed to drivers from god knows where and god knows how they masked/distanced.

did get it after being vaxxed, but also after relaxing the masking/distancing I had been doing and directly after roger waters.

incredibly mild, had summer colds more bothersome.....

Mine too.  Now this was for me, the mutated virus in late 2021.  I think that was omnicron.  I don't recall which was more deadly, but it was definitely mild for me, nothing like a flu.  I'm so glad I avoided it before have the vaccines.  It made me fatigued for a few days, but that was really it.
