This thread, predictably, has moved into sniping board members' post counts and complaining about the complaints by fellow fanatics.

It's absolutely pre-tour announcement season around here, and I'll wager it lasts another 4-7 days.

    we're in the sht now

So when we are all in an arena together face to face awaiting PJ to take the stage, will the debate be this intense and heated arguing over what opener they play?

    "I hope it's Long Road"
"F*** you!  They owe me Release as an opener...I waited over two years to see this show"
"Right, it's been a Long Road, that's why I think it'll be Long Road"
"You're an idiot!  There's no way they'll open this show without it being Release...it's what I want"

and then they'll open with DOTC

I personally won't be traveling for Pearl Jam this year for multiple reasons. I don't have money tied up in shows from 2020, nor do I resent their delay in announcing (although I am scratching my head more & more with every week that passes without an announcement) but I'm simply making other plans because PJ hasn't given me any shows to plan around.
Tool was off the charts phenomenal in November of '19, and they're touring now, so I'm travelling for a couple of their shows. Pearl Jam was good at Fenway in 2018, but nowhere close to as good as they were in 2016... maybe they had two off nights, but they seemed to have taken a step back.
Long story short, traveling for Tool this spring and cutting back on potential PJ shows (if they even happen!!!) seemed like a no brainer for me.
Had PJ announced dates sooner, my wife probably would have got on board with traveling for them, but that ship sailed once Tool announced their tour.

So while I don't actively plan on boycotting PJ, I'm not sitting around waiting for them, and will be seeing them less than in years past as a result.

Sensible to you may not be sensible to someone else. I feel like you are taking what works for you and your life and your personality and projecting it on everyone as to that is how they should feel.

Fair. Sensibilities are a personal thing. Maybe that was the incorrect choice of words. Lets keep it factual. Has anyone been denied a refund? Are any of us forced to chase tickets and travel to shows? Has there been anything even slightly nefarious about the process? If there is, I'm more than willing to hear it.  The only folks I can see with a legitimate beef are the folks that had Baltimore tickets. Everyone knew the venue was going to be under renovations and that the concert wasn't feasible long before the official cancelation.  I also think the band will live to regret saying they would try to look after ticket holders for that show in the future instead of just cancelling and moving on.  I think we all know the likelihood is that  nothing will be done for them in the future.
Not everyone knew about the reno's. I would actually think that the majority did not. There were tons of people on social media shocked it happened. Also I disagree I think they will be able to do something for them. Whether it is a ballpark show or something close by in the next year.

Also we all love this band. We all want to see this band, My situation is not your situation. If I have 5 shows and now can only do 2 because they waited this long to announce them that is going to affect me differently than you. You might be ok with 2 shows. Maybe I should be too but holding 5 shows for as long as I have and missing out on over half of them would be pretty rough to have happen to be honest. Sure it is just a concert. Sure there are more important things but a lot of us have clung on to these tickets for so long and to have the dates not work out is going to hurt a lot. This is completely different in 2020 when they gave us 8 weeks notice. That came out of the blue. This has a huge build up behind it. My work picked vacation last month. Of course I wanted them to announce back then. They have not and now a lot of us scramble to make it work.

The band doesn't make a dime without their fans.
I trust you'll be voting with your wallet over this "injustice", then?
Do you know what a monopoly is?  You make the assumption that posting a complaint on a message board  means we are are thinking about PJ all of the time and losing our minds.  Turns out we are just reasonable people with reasonable expectations who are fine sharing those expectations on a PJ message board in the tour thread.

You are the delusional one thinking we should all be thrilled and gracious that the band is waiting to the last minute.
Or fan like myself who really doesn’t care one way or the other if they announce or don’t! It’s fun seeing folks reactions on this matter!

Thinking through scenarios over the next few days...

Today: Sea Hear Now headliner announcement in 30 min. Announcement precedes tour announcement to sell fest tickets. If not...
Tomorrow: 2 year anniversary of postponement announcement, we get all details on May shows and timeline of ticket sales. If not...
Thursday: 10c newsletter delivers at least a hint at keeping membership active and dates come the following week

I personally don't think sea near now has anything to do with it. I'm thinking Ohana has everything to do with it. Ed will be there, so there's that. And the band has stated they want to come back. So, Ohana's announcement has to come at the same time as PJ's, which is typically any day now. SHN is irrelevant IMO.

Ohana always hyped their announcements days in advance. Nothing from them yet makes me scratch my head even more why this is taking so long

I think Ohana has everything to do with it, too, but because waiting so long to reschedule plus Ed's poor LA ticket sales have caused a conundrum. I don't see them trying to market 3 SoCal arena shows at the same time Ohana is trying to sell PJ tickets.
