I find it kind of interesting that everyone assumes the band is the hold up on the announcement. it isn't typically any band's choice when a tour/show gets announced, is it? isn't it up to the promoter?
Is it really news? ... losing interest by the minute... maybe ill refund my 4 shows and go to Hawaii..
Did exactly that with some of my non-PJ shows last year.
Yup, did that with RATM. I was up to $900ish in tickets
Yeah I have a $976 in PJ tickets held up. and The Girlfriend I was going to take is now OUT and now with someone else who is not as into PJ as the last one was.. But I do find her Sat radio tuned to 22, I guess she's trying to catch up. - maybe if there is. a good destination show added, just Alpine Valley, or Fenway... make a date weekend out of it!
Call me crazy but I'd vote to never have another stadium show ever again. Done Wrigleyx3 and Fenway once, it's interesting to do once, but that's enough. Sound and sight is typically crap. Just play arenas forever please
Not crazy at all. I agree, especially on the Sound and Sight being crappy.
Been a long two years but for some reason "coming days" feels like an eternity still.
"in the coming days" is the new "early 2022"
Exactly. "In the coming days" is actually worse than "early 2022". Coming days could be any day. Next week. Next month. Next year. etc.

It's that every other band has the same issue with promoters, yet most all who had shows from 2020 to reschedule were able to do so before this. Pearl Jam is bringing up the rear.

yeah, I know, but is it the band's prerogative when they announce, or are the beholden to the promoter to give the green light?

maybe I'm being cluelessly optimistic, but all the chatter and TM silliness seems to point to something happening next week, no? Trust me, I've been wrong multiple times regarding this whole thing, but even a broken clock ...
On my TM account. It has my Toronto show on the "Upcoming" tab. It has my Hamilton show on the "Past Events" tab.
I wonder when that happened or if it means anything.
Happened with my Phoenix tickets too - sometime in the last 24 hours as it was still in my upcoming yesterday. I'm guessing its just part of the process on TM's end with the rescheduled dates.

Most of the rescheduled dates will be in September.

How can this be interpreted as next month? Just asking.
They did say "days". Next month is only 22 days away.

I’d love to know the ins and outs as to how that all works behinds the scenes but for all intents and purposes, I think in this situation we can refer to the band/promoter as one in the same

Wouldn't they have said coming weeks or months if that was the case?
Maybe, but Can't Deny Me was also supposed to be on a forthcoming album.
It is. They recorded a new version with Andrew Watt last month.
words seem so out of place.

That sounds right
Based on the fact that their update specifically stated that, "We are confirming that the previously scheduled shows in North America will start in May 2022," we have to assume their will be at least some shows in May. Question is whether those will begin on the East or West Coast. Multiple rumors regarding Canada and MSG in the fall, so all signs pointing to a short, West coast leg in May.
Nashville is holding up the announcement. They are the last remaining site to finalize their date. That being said, it should be finalized by early next week.
Nashville date is set in stone from what I've heard
Could be, but my guy has been very reliable and as of this morning he said they haven’t locked down a date. It’s a moot point anyways, excited we are going to finally get some news soon.
Its killing me. At least they mentioned something in the newsletter. Announce it already. Maybe it's the basketball, hockey, playoffs, etc for the stadiums.
