My wife had a close exposure last week, but couldn't get tested until today due to our Health Department and clinics being closed for the holidays. Thankfully she tested negative, and she said there was a really long line of people in cars waiting to get tested.0

soooooo, no blame goes to the federal
government?
No blame goes to elected repubs? You know, all those states’ rights, repub governors and legislators that we keep hearing are so great? Does all the responsibility fall on Brandon?
Good lord is right. Want a test? Go to an airport and pay anywhere from $250 to $400. Another faux outrage.
I’ll ask again, where is corporate America with huge profits to be made with such low hanging fruit, there for the picking?
Federal government. State governments. Local governments.
People willfully mis-informing (particularly those with big stages). The willfully mis-informed. Your drunk uncle.
I think in terms of the governments, some of the mis-steps are acceptable; after all, this is essentially new to us and it's a whole lot of moving targets. Here in my state, I think our governor's been less-than-perfect, but perfection isn't realistic.
You can (and should) scrutinize the current administration. But I think it's a bit disingenuous not to acknowledge the level of reality this one is in vs. the last one.1995 Milwaukee 1998 Alpine, Alpine 2003 Albany, Boston, Boston, Boston 2004 Boston, Boston 2006 Hartford, St. Paul (Petty), St. Paul (Petty) 2011 Alpine, Alpine

What solutions for anything pandemic related have repubs offered up? Other than paying unemployment benefits if you refuse the jab and lose your job? And, I’ll ask again, where is corporate America in all of this? Are they blameless? I guess Brandon should have gotten a three D printer for Xmas and started churning out test kits from the White House basement. I'm vaccinated (including booster) and have flown 5 times in the last couple months, but i disagree with this. You can catch the virus and transmit whether you are vaxed or non-vaxed. The unvaccinated have been on planes and in restaurants ever since March 2020. Why start now? COVID19 is terrible, but time for people to make their own decisions about what they are comfortable doing and move on.

I really don't see what there is to dislike about the guy. I guess some people expect him to be some guy with an S on his chest and save the world.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0 -

out this virus right? Maybe just maybe people were kind of underestimating how hard it is to to deal with a pandemic of this magnitude? Seemed like everyone had the answers last year. Yet , here we are.0 -
shit's hitting the fan with omicron here in manitoba. test positivity is at 20%. our CPHO, however, did say that number is skewed high, since many people are taking home tests and only the ones testing positive are coming in for a PCR. not sure where these people are getting these home tests though. I can't find one. our family wanted one as several of my wife's co workers tested positive right before christmas, and we wanted to be sure.
however, every single person we know that has tested positive has said it's been nothing more than a cold/bad cold or close to nothing at all.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0 -

Yea, Brandon hasn't done enough. Maybe this faux outrage should be directed at Joe Manchin? What did he waste with his ego stroking? A couple of months? Or all the repubs who didn't vote for or voiced all their vociferous opposition to all that socialism? Just a thought.
President Biden's COVID-19 Plan | The White HouseMobilizing Industry to Expand Easy-to-Use Testing Production
President Biden’s plan will mobilize industry due to the urgent and compelling need to accelerate the production of rapid COVID-19 tests, including at-home tests, and continue to ensure that manufacturers prioritize creating these products to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. Using authorities of the Defense Production Act and through the procurement of nearly $2 billion in rapid point-of-care and over-the-counter at-home COVID tests—280 million tests in all—from multiple COVID-19 test manufacturers, the Administration will ensure a broad, sustained industrial capacity for COVID-19 test manufacturing. These tests will be available to support a range of needs, including long-term care facilities, community testing sites, critical infrastructure, shelters serving individuals experiencing homelessness, prisons and jails, and other vulnerable populations and congregate settings. Further, the action announced today will provide for tests for use by communities, adequate stockpiles, and the needed sustained production to be able to surge additional manufacturing, should we need it in the future.
Making At-Home Tests More Affordable
To improve access to rapid tests for all consumers, top retailers that sell at-home, rapid COVID-19 tests—Walmart, Amazon, and Kroger—will offer to sell those tests at-cost for the next three months. This means that Americans will be able to buy these tests at their local retailers or online for up to 35 percent less starting by the end of this week. The Administration has also taken action so that Medicaid must cover at-home tests for free for beneficiaries, and that states should ensure that any tools they use to manage at-home testing do not establish arbitrary barriers for people seeking care.
Sending Free Rapid, At-Home Tests to Food Banks and Community Health Centers
To ensure that every American—no matter their income level–can access free, convenient, at-home tests, we will send 25 million free at-home rapid tests to 1,400 community health centers and hundreds of food banks.
Expanding Free, Pharmacy Testing
As part of our strategy to ensure the most convenient access to free testing, we will expand the number of retail pharmacy sites around the country where anyone can get tested for free through the HHS free testing program to 10,000 pharmacies.

I can't find one. our family wanted one as several of my wife's co workers tested positive right before christmas, and we wanted to be sure.
however, every single person we know that has tested positive has said it's been nothing more than a cold/bad cold or close to nothing at all.
however, this is all what I've HEARD, not what I KNOW.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0 -

soooooo, no blame goes to the federal
Personally, I blame The Squad.
out this virus right? Maybe just maybe people were kind of underestimating how hard it is to to deal with a pandemic of this magnitude? Seemed like everyone had the answers last year. Yet , here we are.
Brandon should have called out the military and made everyone stay locked in their houses for 30 days. There, one thing Brandon did wrong. Oh, and taken everyone's gun. Thats two. however, this is all what I've HEARD, not what I KNOW.The FDA has given emergency use authorization to nearly a dozen over-the-counter, self-collected rapid antigen testing kits, such as the Abbott BinaxNow and Quidel QuickVue tests. These tests look for protein pieces of the virus to detect infection and can provide results in 10 to 15 minutes.
Polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, tests — a type of molecular coronavirus test — also look for components of the virus, in this case RNA. But, unlike rapid antigen tests, most require a laboratory setting and can take up to several days to return a result. (Antigen and PCR tests differ from antibody tests, which look for immune responses to infection or vaccination. Those tests can tell you whether you’ve had the coronavirus at some point, but experts say they are not useful for identifying active infections.) PCR tests are, however, widely considered more reliable than antigen tests.

Bidens fault. Just pointing out that you said NONE of this is his fault and continue to say that . And your last paragraph is ridiculous, totally unrealistic and cannot be taken seriously.0
