They could be releasing a black version in August. Doing so with no extras and just "remastered for vinyl" while awesome to see because it should sound better if done right, is pretty weird just 5 years away from reissuing it for the 20th anniversary. Now looking at the band's Twitter, it's just a reissuing of the album. Would be nice to know what difference, if any, from the 2016. I know the 2016 versions were remixed.

This would have been cool, but I'm holding out hope for a No Code super deluxe box set at some point.  Admittedly, I wouldn't be able to not buy this if it was still available at the time of this post. Lol

Missed it but really Im not surprised. Not sure how they cant see how this kind of thing upsets members who pay a subscription fee. Would have liked this but if they dont want my money thats fine. Since my 10c singles still havent arrived I'll probably not renew so thats even more of my money they wont get. If there had been some thought put into it they could have had the preorder up for a set period of time, got them made order. They could have done this and still had a lead time to get them manufactured.
Ultimately though, this is only a repress of a reissue so I wont be dropping any kind of big money on this.

That might make sense. Colour vinyl for 10c, different color or black vinyl for stores?  Then it's still "exclusive".   I think with the pressing from a few years back, I think they ran out.   IE vinyl continues to get more popular so all those copies are gone.    Doing a new pressing to keep them on the shelves seems to make sense.

It's pretty crazy how limited this release is. Don't at all understand why they did it that way.

Also, saying "This is the first time the album has been available on the format since its original release" is false. It was already re-released back in 2016. What I'd like to know is if this new release is that same mix.

Its bullshit.  How do "they" even justify this sort of shit. Its a fan club not a bear pit.  Man like i say i don't need it but i do feel strongly about this kind of asshat scheme to get fellow fans and friends squabbling  and clambering . Its not right  . And i really hoped for better  treatment for fans.  Even  after all my adult life being  a fan it seems like im disconnected from this band now.

Not true regarding the email going out at the same time. I received my email notice at 2:06 pm. Well after it sold out. I got my heads up from their Twitter alert.

I think I’ll just put this money towards the $100 Miles Davis Kind of Blue PRE-ORDER that’s been open for a couple weeks to meet customer demand.

I would definitely recommend getting that Kind of Blue. It is my third and last copy and I have no regrets. The packaging is beautiful and the record sounds great, though I do prefer the mono original.

Anyway, yeah this whole random release for flippers sucks. Am I surprised? Nope.

Confused. On the listing it says "To celebrate the 25th anniversary of No Code, Pearl Jam reissues No Code on 150-gram CLEAR vinyl. This is the first time the album has been available on the format since its original release". 
First time on the format since OG?...wasn't it reissued in 2016 as well?

They can’t get out the singles from 3 or 4 years ago. The vault is still in limbo after almost a year. If anyone that was lucky enough to purchase receives it in August I’ll be shocked. We are all dumbass sheep.

That press release is bollocks. This is not the first time since the original release. There is the 2016 reissue. And Bob Ludwig mastered the 2016 reissue as well. And I really doubt this is a double disc. Have a close look at the picture. It‘s the same labels.

I guess it‘s a simple repress of the 2016 cut on clear vinyl.

Nothing to be excited about.

I wouldn’t usually complain about missing out but this instance feels particularly harsh and actually quite ridiculous.  I’m in the U.K. and I’ve been sat working, surrounded by all my devices, all day.   Took 30 minutes to go for a nap after finishing work only to wake up to the news that my favourite album by my favourite band had been reissued on clear vinyl - but that I could go fuck myself because it’s already sold out.   

I doubt these comments will get read or taken seriously but there HAS to be a better way than this shitshow.  Talk about an absolute mood killer….

I would bet same mastering, since Ludwig mastered the 2016.
