i promise you she will me among the final 3 choices for trump.
if he does that he'll suffer the same embarrassing fate that john mccain did. her stupidity is just too easy to expose.

I think it's more likely he'd choose someone of colour or someone like Madison Cawthorn. "I love the disabled".
no i believe he will choose a white woman and he will have maybe 10 to pick from and he will narrow it down like in a reality show. he cannot do anything without a ton of attention on him and that is how he will do it.

don't we know who he is by now?
    Candace Owens is my guess.

she has tried. she ambushed him about that on her show. his reaction was not favourable to her. but who knows, in politics that was a lifetime ago.

I'm sure either scenario is equally as likely. yes, we know who he is. I just don't think the MTG will be at the top of the heap. she's a disaster and liability.
is he not a disaster and a liability?

he will pick either maggie 3 names, ivanka, or his former press secretary. will probably decide which one by having a miss universe style swimsuit event.

all i am saying is know who you are dealing with. trump has shown us exactly who he is for 40 years. it is all about the grift. i believe pence was foisted upon him by reince priebus or whomever was the party chair at the time because they needed the evangelical vote. still lost the popular vote but pence delivered the evangelicals for him.

trump is all about the spectacle. keep that in mind.

You are correct on all points. Especially about the grift. He is a con-man and his nearest advisors are as well. It's all about how many millions of dollars can they glean from their stupid supporters. And how can they own libs.
It was never about America and Americans.

MTG is a useful side show for the Republicans. They have her so that she can say the inflammatory statements that fire up the crazies, but not have to be the one who says them. They can give a soft disdain for what is said, but revel in the chaos that ensues hoping for potential political damage to the other party and monetary donations that flow from the fanatical need to stop the socialist agenda.

Ok, I realize these can be funny...but this is the stupid shit that makes a lot of Americans hate the grammar police.  If she wasn't such a cartoon I guess maybe people wouldn't do this stuff back at her though, so she has earned it I suppose.
Buit this isn't a grammar error, she has the title wrong. She didn't misspell or use the wrong contraction or punctuation. She is a member of Congress and doesn't know the title Commander In Chief. Basic civics/government knowledge should be a prerequisite for holding office.
So I have no issue with it being called out whether it be MTG, AOC, JFK or RBG. You should know these things in her position.

yeah, I get all that, but I don't see her as helping him get any votes he doesn't already have, which makes me think it's a bad choice, and as dumb as I think he is, I think he'll realize that. he (or his handlers were able to convince him) knew how important it was to have pence on the ticket, as much as those two are oil and water.

I don't think for one second he chose Pence on his own accord. that was all his campaign telling him he needed him. If he really wants to win a second term, yes, I think he will realize he needs to listen to his people, and not just his "instincts" or what he thinks gets the most attention.

Hard to say. I agree that conventional wisdom was that he needed an "experienced politician" as his running mate. Pence was probably not his idea, but I doubt he put up much of a fight. Now? Now that's not what's needed. Now, all the right wingers that were unsure about Trump consider him the greatest person in the history of this country. Now, the crazier the better....that probably plays right into Trump's gut being the thing to go with.

Honestly, it almost doesn't matter who he picks, unless he tries to play it safe with some "moderate" Republican. The MAGAer the better with today's US conservative. I'd guess his ideal pick would be someone that he believes will have total devotion to him. Of course, that's a pretty big pool.

He might pick Ivanka or one of the other unhinged congressnuts who lie when they say "America First." Or, he could listed to advisors and go with Tulsi Gabbard or someone else that comes across less unhinged but will be devoted to him and Putin.

So is everyone here still think he will be able to run again? In other words none of what he’s been accused of will hold and he will be the nominee? Can this nation be so blind to let that happen?

I do think MTG is an idiot so maybe she didn’t know. But I get what Cincy is saying. Maybe it wasn’t a “grammar” mistake. I just don’t like the idea of harping on someone for what is just as easily a typo or a momentary lapse in your stream of consciousness. Do you really think Obama believes there are 52 (or whatever number it was) states? It was lame to give him crap and say he doesn’t even know how many states there are.

As long as over half of republicans vote for trump, he would cruise to the nomination. The GOP can nominate whoever they want, and it’s unlikely trump would be convicted of any crime ever, unless there were verifiable footage of him doing it.

Yeah, I think he'll run again and won't be indicted.  They are probably way into the technicality zone of things (where lawyers will figure something out or settle) if they haven't been able to get anything solid in the 6 or so years they've been looking at him.

I wonder if Desantis would be the running mate if Trump beats him in the primary.  They hate each other but Desantis would probably help Trump.

Speaking of blind, it is funny how the Republicans blame all of the inflation on Biden when Trump was the one that handed out all of the COVID incentives that contributed to it.
