dumb question - other than it being a cool color, is there any difference in a purple vinyl than a record black vinyl?  not usually a vinyl guy so just curious if the color is the allure.

Well in my case I like to collect vinyl but only if its released by the band.. So if ten club are selling it then I don't concider it a moody piece.. Like some you get off ebay.... So that's why I would like it...

It’s a great question - and to the best of my knowledge: 0 audio difference. If anything, there’s a chance it is of lower audio quality. But I don’t have an ear for that, regardless.

Why are we allowed to add to cart if it’s sold out?  Why not mark the item as sold out?

I agree with you that there is no difference per say BUT these red, green, blue ones that are on ebay are not released by the band there just moody copy's.. This one is from ten club so I think imo it's OK.. Hope that makes sense lol

Sorry , they have cancelled my order twice..Not clear what happened..I thought was for the quantity. But even with one item, it has been cancelled.

I did try so many times but my order doesn' go through.
    No idea what is wrong.

My US has basic membership for free.

This. Damn, so bummed about it being sold out already. Why not make more copies available, making sure everybody can have one?

Maybe if they started selling more copies of the merch people want,

They could have lower shipping costs that doesn't look like they have been negotiated by Donald Trump

The color is the only allure here, the original 1991 CD (IMO) is still the best sonically unless you prefer the hotter mastering done for the Super Deluxe or the remix by BOB. And I'm a vinyl guy FWIW, I just like releases done to the format's strengths which this isn't (single LP, CON: running time, CON: not mastered specifically for vinyl)

I bet the color purple makes the record sound terrible.

The cover art they have in the shop has a target sticker on it. It is identical to the sticker they put on all their exclusive vinyl.

I thought you were BSin - especially with the words "Taylor Swift" in the URL.  Thanks  :)
FWIW - I know this is online, but I like going into Target 100x more that Devil-Mart.  The women are usually much  h o t t e r.

Generally, coloured vinyl tends to not be 'as good.'   That said... I'm huge into vinyl and I absolutely LOVE coloured vinyl.

It's like asking if a blue car drives better than a black one.  No, but people like having the choice and like their own favourite colours. :)

An official release Purple Ten would have been a diamond in my collection, regardless of the sound quality.

There is no difference in sound between colored vinyl and black vinyl (Which is actually colored as well). Its the types of colored vinyl where sound issues can occur as well as plants that have poor QC where records sound band. Also the source and the cut of the vinyl affect the sound as well.

All PVC pellets are the same.

In Australia, we get the emails at around 0400 and literally zero chance at purchasing anything remotely limited release......

Can't even get one from Target. Now I have to go to eBay and pay stupid prices if I want to add this to my collection. So pissed off.

Anyone get any word from Ten Club on availability in Australia in future?

Don't pay ebay prices for this plus shipping to Australia.  If you want one that bad, let me know, and I will check my local Target the weekend of the 20th when it is released.  I generally make the trip on the weekends anyway, so no inconvenience to me.  Shipping to Australia looks to be USD $27.75 via the US Postal Service.  That plus the price of the record/tax (~$20), and a record mailer (~$4) would come to something close to USD $52.  PM me if you're interested.

Logistically, I cannot do this for everyone international, but I'm happy to help a few folks out if I can.  Hopefully some other kind souls on here will do the same.

Please remember that there is still a good chance that this will be readily available at target stores on the release date. And even online again from them. If that is the case then the copies on Ebay will all drop. So just wait it out 10 days and see what happens. This record people are paying $75-$100 now could possibly drop 50-75%.

Based on the number of Limited Grey Nirvana Nevermind LPs at Target you are highly likely to be correct. There will be more on the 20th, in store and on the secondary market. Wait a bit. You already have the music. The space on the shelf or  the turntable can wait a little longer for the purple version.
