https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/12/04/biden-white-house-pardons-00192610Can you tell me the crime Liz Cheney committed?Jeez, will you at least acknowledge the specific and violent threats lodged by trump during the fall? That I posted on this forum four times?
this is the only way your side gets votes, by ignoring and mansplaining reality. Even the right leaning dems do it here regarding Hunters pardon given the new “enemy within” brand of the gop. That’s all completely new threats against democrats.0 -

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/12/04/biden-white-house-pardons-00192610The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) reached an agreement with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to protect telework, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing messages viewed by the outlet.
The updated contract, which affects 42,000 government employees, will allow workers to stay hybrid until 2029.
The deal was signed by President Biden's former SSA Commissioner, Martin O’Malley."
Expect much more of this bullshit before Joey is finally walked (or wheeled) out the door in January.
But I'm confident that Trump's attornys are smarter than Biden's, and they'll be able to undo or remedy alot of this crap.
Do you even know your side is lying about cutting the budget by $2T? Defense, Medicare, and interest account for nearly 80% of the budget. Which one of those are you cutting? Elon and Vivek would need to cut almost everything else to reach their target cuts
One program they said they want to eliminate is the NIH, which is responsible for a lot of the tremendous advances the US government attained for cancer treatment.
In reality, your team is celebrating more cancer, that’s what they were cheering for at the msg rally, @shecky
so stay hidden in your safe and comfy spaces so you can keep up with the absurd and disingenuous attacks, unless you want cancer?

Anyway, in this day and age making a group of people occupy building space for something they can do from a computer anywhere in the world is inefficient and a waste of tax payers' money. I thought you were all for efficiency and cutting waste? And your statement about needing them to show up to be sure they are working tells me you shouldn’t be a boss ever.0 -

Based on the number of neighbors I saw "working" from home during the pandemic, I wouldn't be surprised if companies find it far more productive to have employees in the office.
But just depends on the type of job I guess. An insurance adjustor who takes calls and goes through bills from around the country and has to go through X number of files a day, probably doesn't make a difference. Someone who doesn't have a defined amount of work that needs to get done but is just expected to work a full day, might work better in an office. Especially if it requires you to collaborate or check in with other departments.Post edited by mace1229 on0 -

During the pandemic, most companies were not prepared and did not have activity monitoring software in place to manage the under-performers. That's changed at this point. One of my offices is in a high traffic area of Florida, and (particularly during season) most people have to commute between 45 to 90 minutes to get to the office. Working in a hybrid environment has reduced expected attrition and we are loathe to take the benefit away at this point.
When I was a young manager, one senior leader once told me something that I think is absolutely true. You don't create rules for the 5% of your problems. You create rules for the 95% and manage the 5% up or out. In other words, if you think some part of your workforce abuses the WFH, manage them, don't punish the people following the policy and doing the right thing by pulling everyone back.0 -

Patel was nominated Saturday and Biden announced the pardon on Sunday, yet many comment that "nothings changed." (Not that the enemy within attacks wasn't enough to convince Biden).
