I hope not. I hope Biden is professional like he was when he invited Trump to the White House. So maybe we can return to normal politics one day instead of childish games. What do you have against work from home?shecky said:
Yeah, here's another beauty they pulled yesterday: "A union representing thousands of federal and government workers landed members a work from home deal ahead of the incoming Trump administration's efforts to force workers to return to office.Choccoloccotide said:Now Joe Biden is considering pardoning Dr. Fauci, Schiff and Cheney according to Politico. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/12/04/biden-white-house-pardons-00192610The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) reached an agreement with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to protect telework, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing messages viewed by the outlet.
The updated contract, which affects 42,000 government employees, will allow workers to stay hybrid until 2029.
The deal was signed by President Biden's former SSA Commissioner, Martin O’Malley."
Expect much more of this bullshit before Joey is finally walked (or wheeled) out the door in January.
But I'm confident that Trump's attornys are smarter than Biden's, and they'll be able to undo or remedy alot of this crap.

Yeah, Trump lies all the time and we know it because he lies with impunity. Biden is usually more tactful in his lies, more politician like I would say. It's just so weird that we've come to a point where republicans won't call out blatant Trump lies and Dems won't call out clear Biden lies. Both parties should be able to call out all lies, but instead they both pretend only their opponent lies.brianlux said:tbergs said:
Brian, I get what you're saying, but I think that way of looking at it provides way too much benefit of the doubt in instances that simply seem implausible. Are any of us willing to give this same benefit to Trump for anything he says and later does/doesn't do? Most likely not and I don't see anyone trying to provide this argument for him about anything.brianlux said:I don't understand what some of you mean by "lie". To me, if you say something knowing it isn't or will not be true, that is a lie. And if you say something you believe you will stand by, but later realize that what you planned on doing was a bad choice OR circumstances have changed OR things didn't turn out as you had expected, AND you do something different, is that a lie? I don't think so. I'd say it is a change of mind. And this: who here will cast the first stone? So much anger. Anger and hatred. Lovely. And I mean me too, though I'm not so much angry lately. What good does arguing do? Nothing. What good endless anger? Nothing. There has to be a better way to spend our time and energy. Like actually doing something to help make positive change happen instead of just being pissed off and arguing.I'm open to ideas!
Trump is an easy target in this instance, so let's dig a little deeper and consider what the most recent SCOTUS appointees (Barrett, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch) said during their confirmation hearings about abortion. Many of them were asked point blank if they believe Roe v. Wade was stare decisis and they repeatedly stated they believed it was, but yet less than 5 years later a new case came along and they overturned what they said they wouldn't. Again, I know many here have said they lied in the hearing, but isn't it then also fair for them to say they changed their mind based on new circumstances? I would call bullshit because their personal beliefs made it pretty clear which side they favored and I would say the same thing about the Biden pardon.
Sorry t, but no, I would not give the same benefit to D.T. because he is a know chronic liar. Biden is not. It's just that simple. You keep calling it a lie, I call it a change of mind.Stalemate."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

We already own the buildings, they are ilumminated, heated and/or air conditioned whether 10 people or 10,000 are present. And, the only way you can truly ensure that employees are putting in a full eight hour day is for them to show up at work. Just clocking in and out electronically from home is rife with dishonesty and fraud. And no, I do not have the studies at hand.tbergs said:

No it isn’t the only way. There are plenty of productivity monitoring tools available to businesses today. I use Controlio in my company and it works great. And there are plenty of studies that show white collar workers are more productive and work longer hours and less attrition when they don’t have to commute. People also view it as a benefit, which leads to higher job satisfaction.shecky said:

Do you even know your side is lying about cutting the budget by $2T? Defense, Medicare, and interest account for nearly 80% of the budget. Which one of those are you cutting? Elon and Vivek would need to cut almost everything else to reach their target cuts
One program they said they want to eliminate is the NIH, which is responsible for a lot of the tremendous advances the US government attained for cancer treatment.
In reality, your team is celebrating more cancer, that’s what they were cheering for at the msg rally, @shecky
so stay hidden in your safe and comfy spaces so you can keep up with the absurd and disingenuous attacks, unless you want cancer?
