    For me, the concern wasn't so much today, but more what it would be like in a year? Changes can come on fast at that age, and he definitely was showing signs of slowing down. Not that he was completely gone, but he definitely looked confused more often and was slowing down.\My father in law, who is the same age, a year ago I would describe as sharp, honestly one of the smartest guys I know. We've noticed him not being able to follow a conversation as well lately. Yesterday my mother-in-lawn took him for a doctor visit and they did a cognitive test. He didn't know who the president was or who was running.  He showed almost no signs a year ago and it has changed quickly in the last few months. He's stayed active, does daily walks, reads regularly, but at that age you can change quickly. Biden had been showing his age more lately, and after the debate you couldn't deny it.
