It might be helping build the radical right, but what it's definitely doing is turning off people from the Democratic Party. Whether those turned-off people join the GOP or vote republican in presidential and senate races around the country remain to be seen. But the Virginia governor race isn't a good sign for the Dems. 

Ya know, when I watched the George Floyd killing, like anybody, I thought it was terrible and (stupidly) felt this would be a coming-together moment for the country. And within days, it turned into "white people are evil." 

People that support the woke agenda want history taught as it was. That's fine. If they want chapter one of an American History textbook to depict white Europeans invading the jungles of West Africa and enslaving the natives, have at it, because that really happened. But don't be teaching that in 2021, whites are oppressors and blacks are oppressed.

And enough with the propaganda. Did you see Colin Kaepernick's Netflix thing that compared the NFL combine to a slave auction? It's fucking insulting to the slaves! Those were real people that suffered. You can't on one hand want to teach history (1619 project, CRT, etc.) and on the other hand, weaponize it with dangerous, manipulative propaganda. Sorry, but the white guy that might be the boss at your job is not tantamount to a slave owner.

And I think the "loudest" that you speak of are the talking heads on MSNBC. Joy Reid and Nicole Wallace do more damage to the democratic party's election chances than far-left-leaning elected officials like AOC or Bernie could ever do. Go back and watch them during the Dem primary in 2020. Over and over they'd suggest that the last thing we need is another white man like Biden.....until that's exactly what they needed to beat Trump.

The only good thing that I saw from the VA gov election was that Youngkin distanced himself from tRump. He won...but it wasn't because he was clinging to tRump in any way. And yes I understand that he was throwing out similar stupidity but I think that distancing is significant.

It might be helping build the radical right, but what it's definitely doing is turning off people from the Democratic Party. Yeah, I agree with a lot of this. 
I will say, in defense of Black Lives Matter, Kaepernick, and black political activists, that there is good reason to be angry.  I remember clear back in 1969 walking into the student union at S.F. state and listening to Dick Gregory speak to a large, almost exclusively black audience about the need to empower black Americans and put an end to racism and oppression.  It was left a huge impression on me.  There was anger toward whites from Gregory (I kept my raggedy ass hippy looking self well back and off to the side), but there was also a lot of remonstrating of his black audience to do more to be proactive.  The black power movement was huge and there has been some progress made, but the needle on the gauge has moved very slowly and not far enough, so I understand the outrage of black activists today.  What I can't/ won't accept is the white-bashing angry separatist hate towards whites that some of those activists propose.  Sorry, but I am not going to off myself or feel guilty for being white.  That's just not reasonable.

I think its funny that AOC and Bernie are still considered "Far Left".... They get in line with the establishment dems every time and do zero for the working class. This "take over" by the far left is a joke... When was the last time these so-called "Far Left Leaders" ever went and sat with workers striking or even speak out in a way that actually matters... Leaders? We have no Left Leaders.

I agree. I take no issue with Kaepernick being an activist and was actually on-board with his kneeling protest. Around the same time he started it, some overly-radical BLM protesters shot and killed police officers in Texas. Well they're protesting the same thing Kaepernick is, but one is as non-violent as you can be (kneeling when you should be standing), and the other is overly violent (murder). So I get your defense of them. But at the same time, I think he (and people like him) have weaponized it and turned it into what you describe in the second part I bolded.

First bolded...When did anyone with influence in the democratic party or the left in general ever suggest this..I heard this on am radio and fox but not from any actual dem or leftist influential types.

2nd bolded...I though the case was that white people are benefitting from a long history of whiteness and oppressing of Blacks and minorities, not that they are as a whole actually consciously oppressing anyone.  Again this is not a point I have seen suggested by Dems, left media or leftists.  In general the case can be made that the prevailing culture of whiteness is oppressive to minorities, but I am not seeing anyone suggesting that all of us white people are out and out running around oppressing people.  I guess nuance has been lost.

2nd bolded...I though the case was that white people are benefitting from a long history of whiteness and oppressing of Blacks and minorities, not that they are as a whole actually consciously oppressing anyone.  Again this is not a point I have seen suggested by Dems, left media or leftists.  In general the case can be made that the prevailing culture of whiteness is oppressive to minorities, but I am not seeing anyone suggesting that all of us white people are out and out running around oppressing people.  I guess nuance has been lost.

Institutionalized racism is alive and well. And keeping it that way motivates some people.
