you should have to take an knowledge eligibility exam before being allowed to serve.

I guess that would disqualify a lot of the R's though.

I keep seeing the phrase “ The Golden Age “ by the MAGA posters here what does that mean? What do you see happening that will be so great?
I always thought of the golden age to be in the 50’s when conditions were terrible for the black community, gays didn’t have any rights, women were basically relegated to having kids, kitchen, house chores, immigration wasn’t a big issue as it is today probably because things were pretty stable throughout Latin America! So tell me what is the Golden Age.

Is this proven or fact checked? I've seen no mention of this any where. Also, published and wrote are very different. He was the publisher the Tory, which printed a lot of conservative talking points back then (support for Iraq invasion, anti-gay marriage, patriarchal family dynamic, etc.).

Still, even if he only published a column by someone else about it, that's fucked up.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Well he will fit in well with the new administration with those beliefs.
  • Biden/Harris or however is running this Country just moved the Ukraine/Russia war closer to use of nuclear weapons at worst, but al least definitely will cause more death. I am old enough to remember that Biden said no to long range missiles and no F-16 jets. Both are now in use in that war. Same as it ever was.

Should have helped Ukraine fully at the onset.  Remember, it was Russia who invaded them....how about I come on over to your house and take what I want?

    That's all true.
And it's very encouraging to see that growing numbers of minorities and women helped propel President Trump to his resounding triumph!
The Republicans truly are the party of inclusion and joy, while the Dems are so negative and full of hate. They seem so very, very sad.
But, the good news is, the Dems are always welcome to cast off the shackles of their devisive and racist past and join the Republicans for a bright, new and happy future for ALL Americans!
Come on over and join us! It's only been two weeks - we're still celebrating President Trump's huge victory!!!

So Russia invades Ukraine and the world should just step aside and let Putin do as he pleases or else he will threaten with nuclear war! Remember when Your Orange hero was walked out literally on a leash in Helsinki by Putin I’m sure they’ve talked since being elected and he has assured Putin to hang in there till after inauguration and then he can do whatever he wants to crush Ukraine! Hell it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he decided to give back Taiwan to China and South Korea to rocket man

Putin has his hand so far up Trump's rear end that he is practically a Muppet.

Part of the reason this is upsetting to so many people is because it's true (well, not the "ALL" Americans part). Yeah, it was only about 51 to 49 but that's primarily because Trump is still seen as an unserious narcissist. Had JD Vance run against Harris, he'd have won 45 states; maybe all 50. The GOP is pulling in people from demographics it used to not reach.

What's a typical Democrat? There isn't one because the party has absolutely no base. Why? Because it's a party with no ideas and no policies. Maybe they'll get some once they don't have "we're not Trump" anymore but as of now they have no platform, no candidates, and very few voters.

And even if they do get some ideas, what are they going to be? The American people want closed borders (which the GOP owns on perception, if not reality), low taxes, two genders, and Jesus in public life. The Dems are not (and should not) court that. But any challenge to that is not getting votes. On January 20, a Democrat leaves the White House for the last time.

  • If I had a nickel for every time the "common sense" crowd declared that assisting Ukraine was going to lead to WWIII / nuclear war I would have a f ton of nickels.
