    a friend of my on FB posted a youtube video, yes, a youtube video "proving" the two parties never flipped platforms and that the democrats are really the party of racists. when I called him out, he said "but malcolm x warned people against liberals".

    It's shame that due to being polarized, you kind of need the votes on the fringe to get things done.  It's too bad dem's and rep can find common ground and get some stuff done (like they just did with the debt limit) and remove the power of the fringe parts of both parties.. shrug.

    It’s a mistake to claim the left “fringe” and right fringe are equivalents. The fringe, and most republicans who are also fringe, but somehow not considered fringe, oppose the basic tenets of democracy and the Constitution.
