I think the dems are taking the gamble that Kamala will be able to prove herself as a very up front VP, more so than we've seen since Cheney, although nothing like Cheney. i definitely think that this is going to groom harris to be the standard bearer of the party for the next 20 years. i think she is up to the task, and as tbergs said, she will be much more present.
