I'm not sure why violence has a left and a right side.

Here's a 32-minute compilation video posted by the guy that had the video of the man being kicked in the head. There were other confrontations and incidents that night. It's all from August 16th in downtown Portland....

I just don’t understand any of this. I don’t understand why no one is taking a stand against this. I don’t understand why the “leaders” in these cities don’t take a stand. Since when has violence and crime become a left or right thing? I feel terrible for the people who live there and all the businesses affected by this. What a shame.

I couldn’t tell if that was real or a scene from the streets of idiocracy.  I hope this guy (victim) gets well soon and that his attackers get put behind bars for a long time.  Talk about a basket of deplorables.

I had just posted the same.  "Since when has violence and crime become a left or right thing".  It's embarrassing the way the right react to peaceful protests...and equally embarrassing the way the left reacts to violent protest.

Where are the cops??? I find it hard to believe the cope were not called.  Good to see BLM and peaceful protest.  Why do these thugs not go and harass the hells angels???

Lack of strong, responsible leadership is one of the reasons the BLM movement is seen by some (myself included) as ineffective, chaotic, and overly violent.  This doesn't mean I don't support the general concept of BLM, but when strong leadership is absent, good, long lasting results are unlikely to occur. Compared to much of what went on in The Civil Rights Movement in the sixties, the current state of affairs is a clusterfuck.

Hypocrisy at its finest.  Lightfoot bans “protestors” on her block because she feels threatened. The other residents in Chicago neighborhoods don’t?  Classic.  Do as I say, not as I do...

Not the best news source I know. Doesn’t matter, the blatant violence is getting crazy.
Worst, when the attacker was arrested and found with a machete, he was just given a ticket to appear in court later.
i don’t understand this no bail for violent crimes.

I've seen it before.  I always wanted there to be REAL apple pies in it.

The fry guys aren't mentioned but they are standing next to the Hamburgler and the bird and Grimmace are missing.

Every tune is catchier when you repeatedly chant "motherfu$*er."  Has a nice ring to it and is a highly effective tool for peaceful protesting.

Are y'all actually begrudging people for being out of a job during our current influx of crises?

I understand begrudging someone for committing random acts of violence, but this conversation just took a pretty callous turn.

Not begrudging anyone, just a simple sarcastic statement. I do not know the employment status of anyone outside of my circle, and would never wish hard times upon anyone. It is my opinion that these types of protest are not beneficial to anyone and maybe their time would be better served elsewhere if they are unhappy with their current situation.
