Is there anything noteworthy in this "15 days to save festivals" (at least according to the tweet translation)
My French is only average so I could be missing some key points and others feel free to jump in but this basically says there’s going to be a meeting with a French government official on Feb. 15 to discuss what conditions need to exist in order for festivals to move forward, as the promoters can’t take financial risk with no objective criteria.  As well they are trying to arrange a test concert with 1000 non-distanced but masked fans to see whether such a thing can be done safely, realizing that testing with distance isn't realistic to how a real concert would occur.
    You are right !
In Luxembourg they have already started to organise test live shows. 100 attendance, fast result Covid test at the entry and the obligation to perform a PCR covid test 7 days after the show. The idea is to see if it works or not on a health side but it obviously cannot work on a financial side.
Obvisously we are very far from pre-COVID events. My guess : 1/3 or 1/2 shows in Fall, seats only.
    Thank you both!

My Swiss Air credit on my Budapest to Zurich flight got extended until May 31 2021 and I need to fly by Dec 31 2021. I had to call to get it extended so those that used the company and had a credit might want to call to confirm their credits rolled over as well.

That’s still stupid though. No one’s gonna fly this year. I think I’m gonna let it go because it stresses me out dealing with those idiots

It’s all now a bit crazy that the tour hasn’t been postponed. I mean you can’t even enter many of the countries with most of us on lockdown. No way this will be sorted in 4.5 months.
The writing has been on the wall for a very long time. I'd guess the hold up is the festivals. If it was a straight up arena tour the band would have pulled the plug, with festivals being involved they probably have to wait for the organisers of those to do it.
Yes, agree. Probably has to to with the insurance and the legal party that actually cancels the show/ agreement.

Understand that money needs to be made but it feels a bit odd to receive newsletters from 10C about PJ candy and wine while the most of us are waiting for news on the Euro 2021 tour.

I agree it is but today was the last day before it expired so I am thankful that its still there and hopefully they will extend it again.

It is what it is, if it is cancelled I just hope that everything is rescheduled quickly, and we can hold onto the tickets. I would rather do that than have a refund and have something in the distance to look forward to
  • Could this just be cancelled now, so I can focus on being att he beach this summer and start to learn how to swim?

    Thanks.

Maybe the delay is in sorting out 2022 dates to announce at the same time?

An immediate announcement of new dates would be amazing

Same here. I just want the new Euro dates to be announced so I have something to look forward to. Would prefer not to be refunded.

With the chaotic start of vaccination in Europe and the news of declining efficiency with mutations there is no way this tour is going to happen in 2021. Even if we might make it to a relevant percentage of vaccinated people in Europe by summer, we‘ll know for sure way too late. You can‘t plan a festival tour days in advance.

An announcement could be some way away yet. Some bands are leaving it much later this time around. The Who, for instance, are still yet to pull their tour dates and those shows start next month! What with some of PJ's dates being festival shows I'm now inclined to think we wont get official word for a good few weeks yet. Wouldn't be surprised if it's April.

Hopefully before that as ticket refunds only available till March, with current dates I'll need a refund for one of my shows but don't want to take it yet in case it moves and I can make it
