This should not make a person as excited as it does, me.

I'm not a fan of their color options (have a wide shoe size limits them even more) but look forward to running in them

Enjoy the new shoes. I have the opposite problem in that my feet are really narrow. I have found that Asics work well for me. I have that problem with a lot of shoes where my foot slides forward. It seems that there are more options for wide shoes than narrow shoes. Not much selection there.

Interesting - do they have narrow sizes or is it just the way the shoes are made?

On’s tend to be a narrower shoe. Check them out if you haven’t already, might end up being a good fit.

I haven’t fully explored the running shoes but many other women’s shoes seem to come mostly in regular width or wide. My foot isn’t so narrow that I can’t get away with regular shoes for most shoes. But I just have to tie them tight. I ended up with ASICS because when I read the reviews there were a lot of complaints that the shoe was too narrow. So they were a perfect fit for me.

Not sure what was up this morning but about thought I was going to puke and fall over around 9 miles, was a struggle to get the 15 miles in, but I gave the balls a tug and finished....albeit a minute a mile slower than last weekend's run.

Ran all over - sort of looks like the big dipper & the little dipper.

Nice run. But maybe you were pushing yourself too hard. Did you monitor your heart rate. It may have gotten up too high, or you got dehydrated.  But great you were able to finish. I did my 5 miles today. The weather here was great for running. I hope you are feeling better now and enjoying your pool and hot tub. Great day for that.

    Good work!

Yeah, my heart rate was ok.  Pushing yourself too hard is part of the gig, right? .      That is why I got the watch initially, though, so that I could make sure I wasn't giving myself a MI.

Good. I finally got a Fitbit last week to monitor my heart rate. For my run today I was at peak heart rate zone for 60% of my run and in cardio zone for 40% of my run. That seems ok. My run on Monday had me at my peak heart rate for 83% of my run. That may be pushing it. But I am not sure. I don’t know enough about it.

Find out what the danger zone is and sorry about that....I wouldn't worry about peak/cardio too much.

Guys.... I'm using the race to raise a little money for my daughter's school, they have been incredible through the pandemic. Would it be innapropriate to share it here?

I think that would be fine to promote it here.

How are all you runners today? Got up too late to beat the heat to run outside. But I had a good 5 mile treadmill run today. And then I immediately did a 2 mile fairly brisk walk outside. Feeling good!!
