The thing is activists are standing up for social justice rights, not holding a political rally or supporting or endorsing a political party, candidate or candidates platform.

No, I condemn looting. I can understand why it happens though. I can understand the frustration and underlying complex social problems that may contribute to it.

So for people that still talk to friends and family that supported trump how do you do it? After several conversations of them saying basically “I’m ok with all the other stuff, because I don’t want joe to take away my ar15, or pro life or whatever” I can’t see in anyway that those people aren’t complicit. I have cut them off and it has done no damage to me. Do you just ignore that they have aligned themselves with this stuff because you have a familial or emotional bond?
If people can’t have a conversation about how bad that guy actually is, or they acknowledge it but still support him because they think that’s Republican values I’m done. I’m not talking 1 or 2 attempts, I’m talking multiple tries at real conversation over the last several years. It’s hard very hard for me to be ok with having a friend or relative that is ok with MAGA and the proud boys and a president that is claiming the election was a fraud because (taxes guns, bible).

I have several good friends and a supervisor who are very pro-Trump. We do not discuss politics at all.

I recall, and maybe you don’t because you were on brietbart, that the leader of my party and current POTUS elect condemned the riots and looting. See? I’m in alignment with my party’s values and I’m not out there with a sign saying kill all police or kill all repubs. And if my party were like that? I’d leave and go green or something else.
