    So it seems like they are waiting until the song starts playing on the app before opening the phone lines, if you were the first caller 3 minutes after the song started. Makes sense as I was caller 14 and 15 last week and I didn't start calling until the song started on the app which is almost 3 minutes delayed. 
    I feel like they’re opening up the lines differently each time. When Dan won last week the song hadn’t event started playing on satellite yet. This last time it seems they opened it up towards the end of the song.

    I was in the car. Started calling immediately when it came on. 7 “call failed” then towards end of song I got maybe 5 or 6 rings then “you’re caller 20.  Try again”.  Ugh!
