This is essentially the attitude I'm trying to adopt toward the Apollo show itself. It's not really going that well.

I’m almost at the point of acceptance... almost. It just hurts to know the venue is close to my house.

On Wednesday I took a different approach.  Being a big Stern fan, I know he often plays games with callers and remember him giving away Apollo Tickets to GnR.  So I called and got through, told the screener I wanted to ask Howard about his reaction to PJ at the Apollo.  They were wise to it though and told me he talked about it a bit on Tuesday, (which I didn't catch) and hung up on me.  I gotta imagine he will be giving away tickets at some point?  Everyone can start calling his show as well while waiting for Alive to play.

Same here - but I'm trying to focus on how enjoyable it would be to listen to it at home. Get comfortable, select some beverages, and either listen to it at a respectable volume on the Sonos system (if my wife wants to listen) or crank it through some headphones. It's definitely more appealing than sullenly refreshing the Fan Views thread for a show I wanted to go to.

I'm going to ask this question here before I go bother the nice people in the Jack Johnson Guest DJ thread: does anyone know for sure whether studio Alive was/was not played during the guest DJ spot? Obviously if the answer is "yes, it was", then the follow up is what time it was played.

I listened to it and Alive was not played. Demetrios listed the songs played in the thread about the session. I listened to it and if I recall correctly, it lasted 35-40 minutes.

Good morning! Another day, another chance to win. Here's a quick briefing for today.

Song of the week: Alive (original studio or 2009 remix)
Call in window: 5 pm - 10 pm EST
    Chances to win: 2
    Number: 855-973-2755

Note: Jack Johnson guest host show is on at 5 pm EST. Reported on the board that he didn't play Alive, so both plays will be after that ends (~5:45 - 6 pm EST).

    Tips:
    • Online and satellite listeners have both won. They seem to start taking callers at online start time.
    • Online starts to play 2-2.5 minutes after satellite.
    • Satellite listeners have graciously posted here when the song starts. F5 is your friend.
    • A short promo for the contest typically plays before the song of the week is aired.
    • When dialing, if you hear "all circuits are busy" or get a standard busy signal, hang up and call again. Otherwise, wait!
    • Fans that have gotten through have reported dead air or hearing background music.
    • They don't announce the winner on air (except during the FF), but many have been trying for 10-15 minutes before giving up.
    Good luck everyone!

Does anyone think that there will be a single normal person that will get into all 3 NE shows?

What would it even require for a regular someone to be able to land a ticket for the Apollo, MSG, and Baltimore?
