I think it was dead air for a few seconds then straight to music. Not sure if it ever rang, but I had my 3 sons running around the house having a nerf battle.
can you feel this world with your heart and not your brain?
I was the winner. I'm still in shock as I type this. Was listening online, heard the song, kept calling. Was using my desk VOIP phone and first couple of times it didn't even ring and then after like 10 seconds it went to a busy signal. Then I tried calling using my cell and it kept doing the the tones saying all lines are busy. The song was getting to the end and I was like I missed it but kept trying and looked down at my cell and it said connected and a guy answered. He asked if I was trying to win tickets and I said yes. He then asked me 3 questions and told me I won a pair of tickets. I'm besides myself. I'm so ecstatic. I can't believe it.
Just throwing this out there, since we're all friends here: if anyone who wins Apollo, and their +1 can't make it, holler at me between now & the day of the show, and I'll get you into that place where the Super Bowl MVP says they're going to go after they win for a few days any time. With planning n' all. Because we're friends
Just get down here to Orlando & book a hotel, lol
Now that's a sweet deal. but can you throw in like four fast passes to rise of resistance as well???
Believe me when I say, no one has that power but I can consult on strategy on how to get it. Hope you like being an early riser, lol

Was there 2 weeks ago and made group 88. Got on at 430. Just missed seeing Ed at Magic Kingdom by one day. Great ride!!
Congrats! Arguably as hard as winning these Apollo tix! I heard they had fun the big parks here do a pretty good job with setting up an incognito experience so everybody can just be normal for a little while.
I've met Ed twice and it's always a little weird since I'm like a foot taller than him. I'm sure it's awkward to have a big oaf like me blubbering about how he's a hero of mine, so I've resolved to admire from afar :P
I’m down in Disney right now with the family and we scored the boarding passes for Rise yesterday! It was pretty incredible (all of Galaxy’s Edge is so sick). We had some strategy and did some research and it paid off but it was my 11 year old daughter who had the magic touch in the end. I had PJ shirts on almost every day (still on a high from scoring Apollo tickets last week) and the only “Hey I love PJ” encounter was an elderly woman (not behind a counter necessarily) who flagged me down to take a pic of my Boston 18 4-eyed dog shirt because “her son loves Eddie Vedder”. My kids were like “Dad what the hell was that!?!”. They don’t get it yet... Pretty funny experience!
So, I got through to the Faithful forum today, but then my call dropped when I was on hold. I heard they cleared the lines before awarding the tickets, but I was a little annoyed. It was around 5:45, so right before they would have cleared the lines (assuming they actually did that)

I love ALL OF THIS well done, sir! And yeah, I'd live in Galaxy's Edge, if I could. I go there as often as possible & just soak it all in. Never get tired of seeing the Falcon. And I advise all visitors to do some research & be ready to try several times. Just like on here!
PJ shirts & hats are always fun to see. Those who know, know

I was caller 20 yesterday (2/19). Every time I tried I just heard dead air, then I would hang up, call again, repeat. Finally, I heard the song playing through my phone, so I turned off my car radio and listened, then a woman answered and said "you're caller 20, try again" and hung up.....I tried a couple more times, but then gave up.
As the winner recently I will say this - it wasn't ringing it just sounded like the radio show. WAIT IT OUT. I nearly hung up many times. The song kept going and ended and I figured I would hear the winner but after like 5 minutes The Rob Says Hello you've won!

Love it! To be fair, I suppose I had another encounter PJ related. I felt a tap on my shoulder when we were in Galaxy’s Edge and it was Chewbacca! He and his “handler” were curious to know what planet the dog on my shirt was from. Was pretty cool - got most of it on video. My kids were thrilled and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t pretty excited too!

Thanks for the intel. And congrats! Enjoy the show!

Do you wait out the dead air until the busy signal or do you just hang up and dial again if nothing? I’ve been waiting out the dead air. I can’t recall if it went right to the music playing or was dead air first the few times I got through.

My take is "all circuits are busy" or standard busy signal, hang up and try again. Otherwise wait it out.

As others did, I tested and compared the Sirius feed on car play vs. streaming services via my phone and office computer, and streaming proved to be about 3/4 of a song behind car play. No wonder I've yet to get thru on contest phone calls
So...it's raining here. Heavily. As it's done for the better part of the past few weeks. The window in my office is cracked. Just enough so the rain doesn't get in, and just enough to hear Pearl Jam Radio on SiriusXM, cranked to volume level 162, seeping out the cracked window in my running car which is parked below said office window

Generally the winner seems to be when the next song is playing. Seems to be 8-10 minutes after it plays in the car. So being online probably has less to do with it than there are 1000s of people calling for what appears to be 1 line that they answer.
