Hello everyone. Little over a month to go!  For those traveling from out of state for this, where are you staying? What are you doing for transportation to and from Apollo?  I’m only traveling from north jersey, but would rather not drive into Harlem.  Any suggestions or any locals or experienced Apollo concert goers care to chime in on some suggestions.
From North Jersey, you can just take NJTransit to Penn Station and then hop on the subway (A or C) and take it up to the 125th street stop. I believe it’s only a couple minutes walk from there.
Thanks! This is helpful. Was planning on NJtransit to Penn, but had no clue what to do from there. Lol.
Live it up and get a Limo.
Haha: I told my brother who is taking my extra he should send a car service for me.
can you feel this world with your heart and not your brain?

The contest ends 8/24. So guessing they’ll notify the winners the following week. Good luck! You never know!

Just had the pop up for RHCP on the Sirius app to enter for THEIR Apollo show on 09/13.

    I skipped it.

Even on the mere chance you can only win one contest at a time.

Love the Peppers, but I'm all in for our boys.

    No sleep 'til Apollo.

Yes, hopefully one comes my way. Stubhub prices are coming down quickly but still outrageous.
  • Time to vent here.  Is anyone else starting to get fed up with how concerts are put on?

Leaving aside the entire Tickermaster drama from years past, I've NEVER once been able to leverage my 10 club membership (over 25 years!) to get tickets. Not. One. Single. Time.

The verified fan pre-sale is always a nightmare for me.  Every time I try and log in it give me some error about using the wrong account and then I end up in an endless loop of logging in and getting the message.

GA floor seats for MSG on the secondary market are going for $4,000. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS?! Wtf is this world coming to, indeed.

The Sirius Apollo show entry is a joke. I cannot find a single link nor have I seen a pop-up anywhere. I have the sirius app on my phone and while I'm at work I have it streaming from the website.

I'm just glad I pulled the trigger on the Bologna show back in 2019 and didn't give up on the tickets. That was the single best concert experience of my life, and I think I've seen PJ maybe 10 times or so, including Eddie Vedder's solo shows and the Earthlings tour.

Sigh. I just wish we could go back to the old days of standing in line for a wrist bracelet to buy tickets, and when you'd get a real paper ticket in hand to save as a souvenir.

This is quite frankly impossible that you have not gotten 10C tickets ever in 25 years unless the only venue you ever put in for is MSG. I have been a member since 1994, I've gotten 95% of the shows I've wanted including many shows in Los Angeles and NY/NJ. 25 years would take you back to 1998. How is it you wouldn't have gotten tickets in say 2000 when members were pretty much guaranteed their first choice? Likewise, in 2018, on the stadiums tour, I don't know a single person who didn't get tickets if they were willing to take seats.

I would pick something other than MSG or the Apollo show as examples of your frustration. There are thousands of us that are shut out of those shows, including me, a new yorker.  If you have not received 10C tickets in 25 years you are impossibly unlucky. 25 years ago tickets were pretty much guaranteed. But yes, trying to buy tickets through TM these days is a joke and it is harder to get 10c tix.

  • I’m gonna try my luck and line up at the box office day of show like I did in 2016. They usually release some tickets at the box office. Not certain on the amount they will release or where the tickets will be located but it’s worth a try. If not maybe next time around when they tour more than one north east show lol it’ll be easier.

Lithium & PJ Radio are on my favorites, and this is the 2nd time I've seen the Chili Peppers at Apollo contest pop-up.

In a late night haze, I swear I saw the PJ one, but it disappeared. Quite possible I imagined it, or mistook it for RHCP.

Point being, listen to PJ Radio on your mobile app from now until 11am on August 24th, and hope for the best!

P.S. said it before, but I had to restrain myself from entering for the Peppers because I don't want to lose out on PJ due to a technicality of "you already won a thing" lol😅

There is the PJ one. Pops up for me, but I won’t enter either.  Not risking my call in winnings!

So, haven't seen a lot of posts about, but this is what the pop-up looks like:
Lithium & PJ Radio are on my favorites, and this is the 2nd time I've seen the Chili Peppers at Apollo contest pop-up.

In a late night haze, I swear I saw the PJ one, but it disappeared. Quite possible I imagined it, or mistook it for RHCP.

Point being, listen to PJ Radio on your mobile app from now until 11am on August 24th, and hope for the best!

P.S. said it before, but I had to restrain myself from entering for the Peppers because I don't want to lose out on PJ due to a technicality of "you already won a thing" lol😅
Maybe could trade +1s if you won the RHCP though

The Sirius Apollo show entry is a joke. I cannot find a single link nor have I seen a pop-up anywhere. I have the sirius app on my phone and while I'm at work I have it streaming from the website.
You won't get a pop up on the website. You get it within 30 seconds when you pull up the channel on the app.

I signed up for a trial of Sirius and it would never pop up, I watched for it for days. Finally I noticed an email to verify my account. After I verified, it popped up almost immediately.
  • I wish I could enter but as a non American I cannot. Of someone here wins and needs a +1 I'd love be your concert buddy.
