White House Puts In ‘Politicals’ At CDC To Try To Control InfoThe two appointees have no public health background. They are apparently tasked with watching CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield as the agency releases COVID-19 info.Jason Dearen, Mike Stobbe and Richard LardnerNEW YORK (AP) — The Trump White House has installed two political operatives at the nation’s top public health agency to try to control the information it releases about the coronavirus pandemic as the administration seeks to paint a positive outlook, sometimes at odds with the scientific evidence. The two appointees assigned to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Atlanta headquarters in June have no public health background. They have instead been tasked with keeping an eye on Dr. Robert Redfield, the agency director, as well as scientists, according to a half-dozen CDC and administration officials who spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal government affairs. The appointments were part of a push to get more “politicals” into the CDC to help control messaging after a handful of leaks were “upsetting the apple cart,” said an administration official. When the two appointees showed up in Atlanta, their roles were a mystery to senior CDC staff, the people said. They had not even been assigned offices. Eventually one, Nina Witkofsky, became acting chief of staff, an influential role as Redfield’s right hand. The other, her deputy Chester “Trey” Moeller, also began sitting in on scientific meetings, the sources said.

The latest political manure-manouvering here in BC is only counting MIS-C cases in kids who test positive. So instead of 17 cases, we have one.
MIS-C shows up weeks after infection when negative tests are likely.Post edited by Spunkie onI was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef

Good man for getting it checked out! Hopefully the test will continue to run negative. Could be you have fatigue from the stress of living in the shadow of the Orange National Nightmare. Keep us posted!
as for the fatigue, i have not really been exercising as much the last several months, so doc thinks that may be playing a role. he wants to check my thyroid and i suggested checking my testosterone, so get to do that on Monday.
it could be stress from work. it is the 4th quarter and i am one of only 15 reps in the country in a position to hit my quota so i have been pushing really hard for that. maybe the fatigue will go away at the end of the year. or maybe it will go away when we do not have to hear about the constant embarrassment coming from the west wing on a daily basis."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

It never really goes away, so I'm always checking out ways to boost my immune system. One thing I just read this morning says that drinking fresh celery juice helps. The book is called Medical Medium Celery Juice, by Anthony William. I am always skeptical about such claims but I figure, what the heck, I have a juicer and it just celery, so I'll give it a try.Meanwhile, I hope your energy improves. And, yes, if things go well in November, I'm guessing we'll all feel much better!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -
I just started taking Ashwagandha, having heard many good benefits from people I trust, and apparently it won't cause further damage to my liver (or kidneys). Anything to keep my system strong! Exercise is quite helpful too.0

That looks like a very helpful herb. I must look into that one further. Thanks for mentioning it. I hope it's helping you!

We went to Ft Worth, our 2 little boys like dressing like cowboys and watching the old black and white westerns. everything we do there is outside, like watching the cattle drive. We flew in July because we heard about the policies of half empty planes and felt okay with that. Assumed this would be the same this time and felt okay with this trip, but no. Every seat full. Was weird and uncomfortable being elbow to elbow with a complete stranger for 2 hours.
I'm not even considering flying for a while, but I think some airlies are at least doing the middle-seat-empty thing (Delta, maybe, but don't quote me).
I’m with you. I will not step on an airplane until it’s obvious covid is at least six months in our rear view mirror.
Airlines think they are being smart ignoring social distancing by cramming every seat not realizing they are promoting many to not trust them. Not requiring disclosure of full flight capacity at time of purchase is absurd, but that’s what you get in a country that votes for a republican president,0 -
