I thought I would let you all know that I volunteered for the vaccine trials for Covid-19. The vaccine is one that was created in Russia.

I received my first shot this morning, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι χoρoshό я чувствую себя немного странно и я думаю, что вытащил ослиные уши.

To be fair Polls can be bullshit.  It is proven that slightly re-wording the exact same poll question can have the complete opposite results.  When math meets psychology strange things result.

Now simple questions like 'Who are you voting for?' not so much.

Do doubt.  I'm not a big fan of polls.

I remember seeing a film (quite a while ago but probably more relevant today than ever)  about how news events are filmed.  In this documentary, they showed how using cameras at different angles, and through editing, the images alone were able to make this staged incident look very different, like the cause was very different in each footage and the bias each one presented was remarkable.  I'm sure this has been going on for a long time in the news, in polls, in just about anything in the media.  That "none of what you hear, half of what you see" thing again.  A world of smoke and mirrors.

I'm also reminded of that old story about the elephant - how it was described based on people feeling various parts.

Plato’s Allegory of the Cave also seems relevant here.

We are creaping back up here, but it's still weird that we're at the bottom of that list.

I was talking to a friend about that.  I have a hard time believing it's because we did things fundamentally different then anywhere else.   We had some luck with the timing of our spring break, or health officials advising people not to travel etc... but still...

Maybe there's something here no one's thought about it?  Inoculations we get as kids, something in the air/food, ?

Still it could all be moot.  Our numbers have been climbing...

    We're #1 we're #1!

Oh yeah, #1 is #2 for this sort of list.

People wonder why I take this as seriously as I do with regard to my actions.  (No take out, no shopping, everything sites for 3 days before I will touch it without washing, etc.)
