We might still need to wear a mask for a couple of weeks until we get everyone on board, though.

Has anyone, anyone at all, seen Cincy and Covid in the same room at the same time? My thoughts exactly.

Weakness is a disease, runs rampant. Some might claim snowflakey. But wearing a mask is too restrictive of freedumb and makes it hard to breathe. I get it.

5.7% of deaths in 2020 in greece were Covid if that is accurate?
And by your logic is that a reason to have the whole country in lockdown for almost a year now, thousand of people without job or sitting at their homes unable to work and live with 534 Euros per month and couple of dozens stupid "laws" for a year now??
BY my logic?  I was just answering the question about % of covid deaths.  You were wrong and now trying to change the subject.  I never said anything about lockdowns, especially in greece.

I don't think I felt any hope until today's headlines "a post pandemic world is possible by summer"!

But now that I think about it, this would mean DMB in September. But shows and borders will be our finally restriction lifted. Maybe the health official means we can visit outside our household?

    Back to low hopes...

I don't really see what would be surprising about this? Isn't overweight a known risk factor?

It would be great if people would focus on this, in general, and an unintended positive to come out of this shit-mess.
Eating habits are atrocious in the US and most people are totally inactive, as well.  Not sure if it is as bad in the UK as it is here, but as a constant traveler (pre-C19) always going through airports the basic physical shape of people in every area of this country is totally fucking shocking.  Most sad is seeing it in the children.

J&J approved in Canada. 10 million on first shipment but only info I have is by September which is so fucking long from now. Another 28 Million on the back order if needed. This is a 1 shot vaccine. It looks to me if this comes through and the other 3 stay on target we should have enough vaccinations given out by September to meet the needs of anyone that wants one.

They ended “mask mandates”.  That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear one, though.  They are leaving it to local businesses and individual responsibility, which may be an issue when so many people evidently need the government to tell them what to do instead of making their own education decisions.
They didn’t change science by removing the mandate (which never really had any meat to it anyways).
I have been vaccinated, but I still wear masks in stores.  I don’t get upset at people not wearing them like I did before being vaccinated, though.  It actually helps me be aware of the societal douchebags.  I have zero reason to be worried about others wearing masks now, but I choose to wear one to protect others since the science is still not 100% on whether or not I can still spread COVID.  If others forfeit their protection, even if it is marginal, I will have no sympathy if they get sick.
The government wouldn’t be in our lives so much if people exercised a little bit of personal responsibility...but I realize much of society need to “be told” now, like they did when they were children.  I mean, you have people spraying industrial adhesive in their hair, eating tide pods, etc...all because they were “not told” not to...
    Idiocracy for sure...

It used to be punk rockers that didn't like the government telling them what to do.  They were every govt's enemy especially the rep.

Now?  Who is the number 1 group that complains about the govt telling them what to do?

    Weird how this ended up...

    But i'm still confused..
mask or not mask..or double mask..
    https://abcnews.go.com/Health/states-dropped-mask-mandates/story?id=76249857

    Rant over :)

It used to be punk rockers that didn't like the government telling them what to do.  They were every govt's enemy especially the rep.

Now?  Who is the number 1 group that complains about the govt telling them what to do?

    Weird how this ended up...
    Weird times indeed

The headline of the top story in my local newspaper today is "Henry says we could be in post-pandemic world by summer".

Dr. Bonnie Henry is our provincial health officer and the main driver of our policies around everything from masking to closures to how the vaccines will be rolled out. It's really good to hear that she thinks things will be substantially better by summer.

From the wiki: "In his first inaugural address, which Reagan himself wrote,[29] he addressed the country's economic malaise arguing: "In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problems; government is the problem." Written by Reagan and Ken Khachigian."

And now after decades of repeating this kind of negativity, our government is in danger. The people who work in government should know they can do good and great things but instead of fixing problems, some want to destroy what we've had since our founding. I find it incredible and I believe in fixing something if it's broken, not destroy it.
    Happy Friday all.
