been having some symptoms (not serious) the past several days, so went and got tested. not nearly as bad as i thought it was going to be. just noticed a slight pain in my sinus where the long swab went, but beyond that, it's just this really thin swab they put up your nose pretty far, but no pain, just a weird feeling. hold it there for 5 or so seconds. and done.
Hope all is negative!
in a way, i don't. like, i don't want to get really sick, but otherwise, what the fuck do I have? I've never had a flu that felt like this.
but thanks jose!
Hope your test comes back negative. Feel better 🤙🏼

“Don’t be afraid of Covid,” President Trump tweeted, on the same day that the White House outbreak spread further and another several hundred Americans died from virus complications.
The president has survived Covid-19 so far, with help from more aggressive medical care than virtually any other American would have received. But about 210,000 of his fellow citizens have not survived, according to the official death count. The real toll, based on the number of excess deaths this year, is probably closer to 275,000.
Given Trump’s campaign to make the virus seem like a minor inconvenience, I think it’s worth taking a minute this morning to take stock of the virus:
Only cancer and heart disease will kill more Americans this year than Covid. Already, the virus has killed more than twice as many Americans as either strokes or Alzheimer’s disease, about four times as many as diabetes and more than eight times as many as either gun violence or vehicle accidents.
Most other rich countries have been much more successful in fighting the virus than the U.S. A chart is the simplest way to see this:
Harris should point out that during the H1N1 no one in Obama’s administration got infected! Compared to this administration who have 18+ and counting infected idiots!

they'll just turn around and claim their admin got covid because they stayed on the front lines doing the work while obama et al hid away. trump is trying to spin this is as a source of strength in his admin, and many will believe him.
Parks just shut down in my town again due to an uptick in covid.
And that makes no sense...people can cram into Costco or Wal Mart...but can't use the parks?
parks don't sell necessities of life. at least none of the ones close to me do.
80% of wal mart and Costco do not as well. In the spring lockdown, they were allowed to sell clothing, meanwhile, the mom and pop clothing store had to shut??? Really makes no sense...
They were allowed to sell music, DVDs and what not...but the independent record store, could not??? If I was an independent business person... I'd install 1 cooler and stock with food necessities...and then I'd be exempt? It's because of the lax rules with 1st lockdown is why Toronto will not get lockdown a second time. I do not see business listening...
And Cannabis retailers were allowed to operate...not a necessity.

As already pointed out, I also felt as if there was a lot of bending in the rules as to what stores stayed open. But even then, be outside and staying active is really a necessity. More of a necessity than the local liquor stores that stayed open while parks closed and roped off. Having people locked up inside isn't good for physical or mental health. Parks should stay open with social distancing requirements.
