Ticketmaster Issue with Oak and LA

Now someone on FB is posting that they talked to Ticketmaster and the 600 or so emails that went out stating that tickets were won for shows at Oak and LA last night were incorrect.

I hope this isn't true.

yeah unreal....dude said that they also told him they were still processing LA and OAK so maybe we'll luck out and get them anyway

I'm going to be pretty disappointed if the email confirming Oak2 isn't legit though.  That would be shitty

I think the people on the phone still dont know exactly what is going on and are giving out random answers.

I'd say we're fine, but damn has this been annoying. These are shows with 99% RES odds. This should have been a simple stress-free confirmation process.
  • Hmmmmm. Let hope we see a charge on our credit cards soon, lol.  This has been a lottery to remember.

And the verified fan sale is tomorrow.  Sure would be nice to know if I need tickets or not.

so you are saying emails were sent out last night, as in Monday night. The lottery emails for LA were on Friday. That's when I got mine.

Yes, probably just referring to the Monday night emails.  A ton of us got our first emails about these shows on Monday night after waiting for three days.

A lot of people got theirs Friday, but many people didn’t receive either a confirmation or denial. Last night a number of people reported getting confirmation emails starting around 5:30 PST.

Now there are a few conflicting stories:
•The claim on Facebook about last night’s being mistakes
•The claim I received from Ticketmaster saying there was an issue with Los Angeles and Oakland and that if we haven’t received confirmation or denial emails we are still in the running
•A friend who called Ticketmaster and was told that if we don’t receive an email to consider that a denial

It's like losing your dog and then someone calls you and says they found the dog and took it to the pound and when you go pick him up it is not your dog.

  • So I looked at the email I got last night, it’s not the same as the email I got before.  The first email I received for n2 had the charge information and receipt number.  The email I finally got last night confirming n1 doesn’t have any info other than “you scored tickets”

I just called the TM number and it looks bad.  My account has no info for N1 tickets.  So the CSR has no clue why I got the email last night.

Right but the email says that you will get a separate email with receipt once they charge your credit card "within 48 hours"

The email tells us that we'll get our receipt number after the card has been charged.   So right now I bet our accounts look like we haven't won anything because we haven't finished the process with the credit card.  The email is completely different so I take that as a good sign that something went wrong, they reviewed the errors, and sent an email to those affected.

  • Yeah i saw the 48h, I expected something marking my account on their end that I will be charged.  She has no info in regards to that.  She says just keep checking ur cc to see if there’s been a charge but said it doesn’t look like I won.

I'm just enjoying seeing my credit card get charged for Phoenix for $123.  Then get removed.  THen a charge for $126 shows up.   And now it is changed back to $123.   I got news for TM, I spent that three dollar difference already.
  • Good lord.  Anything anyone finds out please post in this thread, I’m not calling those idiots tonight, I have too much going on

  • The CSR seem to be in the dark too.  So not sure they know what’s going on, if someone gets lucky and talks to someone that actually is aware of this issue, please post. She couldn’t even tell if the late emails were legit or a mistake.
