Not sure if this has been answered already but here's my question for anyone that's used this process recently. My friend got in through the 10 Club presale and I'm going with them. I got rejected but did get a TM presale code. I have another friend that needs a pair so would I be able to put in their phone number to get the text for the tickets themselves or is it strictly tied to whatever TM account is used to purchase tickets?
Verified Fan codes are strictly tied to your account and phone number you provided.
Okay so just update the phone number on my profile to his and that resolves it?

YOUR ACCOUNT were the key two words in his response...
or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself oh yeah... makes much more sense to live in the present tense...
On the TM site it says you can have hard copy tickets printed out the day of the show. How would they track what is done with those tickets? Are they going to ID people on the way in?

It’s still your account. The code is in your email, and tied to your account. You cannot give it to someone else. Change your phone number to whatever you want, your friend still needs your account to use your code.
Can someone who got the presale code do a solid and pass along a code after they've gotten tickets? Share the wealth people!! Got shut out from NYC and Baltimore. i'm due to have my 2nd child in May and I just want to see PJ before iIcan never leave the house again!!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ LIKE 45 ENTRIES IN THIS VERY THREAD!!! You can't do this!

Any clarification on how it will work if you got 10c tickets and want to purchase 2 tickets for the other people in my party? FYI, this for Quebec city not a hot destination.
9/20/05 - Quebec City
9/22/05 - Halifax
6/19/08 - Camden
6/28/08 - Mansfield 9/07/11 - Montreal 5/05/16 - Quebec City
I have no idea if this VF presale will be different but the VF presales I have done in the past codes for one city could be used for any city and they weren’t tied to TM account except for Bruce Springsteen Broadway shows which codes were tied to TM accounts. This could be the same as Springsteen I have no idea. Just giving my experience in the past. Good luck to everyone.

Right, but the friend I'm going with doesn't have a smartphone so while he has his own TM account my cell is on it and it's never been a problem before. So if my TM account is not currently associated with another pair and we're all going in together I'm just wondering if that would work is all.

Are codes tied to specific emails? I’ve heard back from some people that mentioned receiving codes but passing them on - would hate for tickets to be cancelled after the fact.
Yes. The code will only work for the email tied to the TM account used to apply for the code.
Good to know. Hopefully those people aren’t in for a shock.

I don’t think you’ll have a hard time reselling in February. The rate it’s going right now, I’ll buy em.
I hope you're right but my guess is that really crappy seats on the exchange won't be flying off the shelves in February (for most shows outside of MSG/Balt/Denver) as most rational people would say that for the "same money" I may as well try to get the best tickets I can on the exchange and wait as long as possible before buying "bad seats" that way (as obviously the prices won't be decided by their market value, and thus bad and good seats will all be priced the same)....so if you get "bad" 10C seats you may be left holding the bag on those ones as you have no real mechanism to price your "bad" seats down accordingly to get rid of them if necessary, and cannot easily transfer them to someone at the venue when you're there if you're still stuck with them.
This is all exactly WHY free markets work better than anything else...I appreciate PJ's valiant efforts to try to make things fair, but life isn't fair, socialism doesn't work, while free-market price signals actually do make sense...yes, it's "unfair" if people with more money (or more desire to be close to their favorite band) get better seats, but it just makes sense that the best seats should cost the most, and the worst seats the least...by forcing everything to be the same price, it's actually making it harder for everyone, and there will be the dreaded "winners" and "losers" in the end...feel the burn, baby, burn...
jkohn: Boy, under this new system I might end up with more Pearl Jam tickets than I can even use. And maybe it’s better for me to just not buy more than I need, because there won’t be a scalper’s market for them, so I might just let someone else buy them in the first place.
You: See, the system just doesn’t work!
I appreciate the argument and as I said in my original post these are not "real problems" as this is all a luxury and not a necessity (I realize how fortunate I am to be able to attend these shows). The system was simply set up in a way where people could possibly buy better seats for the same money later on but would be doing so in a completely blind fashion not knowing what their original tickets were; I'm sure that most fans would prefer to spend the same money for better seats rather than worse ones if they could. I'm happy to sell my worse seats (if I were to get additional ones) to another fan for less than face value if I could, and have done so in the past, but this new system won't allow me to do so, and I'd much rather be able to do that than have no way to transfer them
to someone specific who may be a fan but can't afford to go otherwise (and in fact by making every ticket the same price from last row to first row it also means that the "worst" seats in some markets will be less likely to be moved to another fan on the exchange as presently constructed as most consumers will likely hold out for the best seats they can buy for the same amount of money). Why not say that you can sell the tickets for "face value or less" on the exchange (no scalping) -- might help the "worse" tickets sell and offer a savings as well to some people.
Again, this is not a "real problem" in the big scheme of life ----but if you think mine will be the only such comment once the actual seat locations come out next week, that's when the real "fun" will start when people start complaining that they got really crappy seats from 10C and how unfair it is that row 25 in the upper bowl was the same price as row 4 in the lower bowl (again not talking MSG and Baltimore and such where getting in anywhere will be an accomplishment)....and how they would have waited if they had known....etc.....what we all don't know is by increasing the numebr of fan club seats being offered where that will put us all in terms of our seat locations for this tour, as most of us have a pretty good idea historically where we ended up for most shows in the past based on our member number.
All is good - I will see PJ again and that's ultimately what matters.

The codes are tied to a specific Ticketmaster account. That account was given tickets then that account must purchase those tickets.
Is GA for sure 100% 10c only? I was shut out of the lottery and am thinking about aiming for 1x TM GA for Nashville this morning.
Please do so the rest of us with best available actually have a shot.

This certainly could be correct I haven’t done a VF presale in awhile but they used similar wording in the past and I was able to use my code for a different city. Hopefully most people got codes for the city they want tickets for.

They verify the names on the ticket with a photo ID at will call.
