Vaccines are open and readily available to all adults in Massachusetts right now. You can go on to the CVS website right now and book for a same day appointment (go on and look if you dont believe me)
There is no reason we cant have concerts in 5 months. We are at the 2 yard line and it is April 26th.
I was very frustrated by the rollout here in Massachusetts, but once I was eligible it was easier to schedule an appointment than it has been to buy tickets to some concerts.
NY was super easy, and I'm in the very last group to be eligible. I got an email from the county at the beginning of April, clicked the link and signed up for an appointment the next week.

It feels like America is, or is about to be a wash in an oversupply of vaccines. I really want the US to open their side of the border so I can dip down and get a vaccine. I feel like it's going to be a few months until I get one up here :(

Congrats! Got my 2nd Moderna shot this past Tuesday and no side effects!
The day after the first Moderna shot my left arm was useless, couldn’t even open the car door. Had a slight fever for an hour or so but after sleeping it off was good the next day. It’s only fitting that my wife had no reaction to the first Moderna shot: I brought the UK variant into the house in early February and while all I dealt with was congestion it kicked the $hit out of my wife. Thankfully the kids were fine.

You had some varied reactions there, but great to hear everyone made out well in the end.

Very cool. I would imagine the early shows are outdoors and later in the year would be indoors?
The size limit on outdoor gatherings in New Jersey will increase from 200 to 500 people in two weeks, while the capacity limits for large outdoor sports and entertainment venues in the state will rise to 50%, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday as he revealed a series new steps to ease coronavirus restrictions.
Murphy also hinted these changes — to take effect May 10 — could be the first in a number of reopening announcements he’ll make in the coming weeks if the state’s COVID-19 numbers continue to improve and as more residents get vaccinated.

Here is the news that I come for in this thread. Good luck with reopening man!
all rumored venues are outdoors, mainly amphitheaters. the nye rumor was indoors, but that is so far away, i am not sure how reliable that is

Hard to get a read on things. Most artists seem to be rescheduling for 2022.
Just today I saw friends post about the revivalists postponing to next year at red rocks which is limited capacity compared to other venues and another friend just posted matchbox twenty postponed to next year.

That makes sense. At the start, vaccines were limited. As more and more people got vaccinated, the supply also increased. Now, we're starting to get to the point where it's super-easy. I wouldn't be surprised to see some mass vaccination clinics (fairgrounds, arenas) begin to shut down over the next few weeks.
Compare to concert tickets where there's a limited supply.
I still think it was the right call to delay big gatherings. Just because the rollout has been great in one part of the world, well, we've all seen what's going on elsewhere. People are going to travel for some shows/bands. Do we really want people coming from an international hotspot to a place where things are going good?

Mass just announced 100% capacity and all business restrictions to tentatively end August 1st. (Pending trends and such.).
And this day could be moved up earlier if things continue to trend in the right direction
