Excited categories losing to not excited for stadiums by 47 to 53% margin. On the fan club forum. Someone want to IM Ed with that result?HesCalledDyer liked this

Not excited at all - Highly unlikely I attend. My wife texted me if I was ready for Wrigley next summer. She actually got me to think about it, albeit briefly. So why I might immediately be excited if they were to announce another stadium tour, after a few minutes I will come to my senses. I'm not doing it again for several years if ever. There are so many other places to visit on vacation instead of the same cities over and over.0

Excited - I’m there, but been there, done that. We'll see. With Fenway specifically it's interesting that some artists play there fairly regularly. Billy Joel has done it 6 or 7 years. Zac Brown Band 5. James Taylor will be doing his 4th or 5th.
It would be a mixed bag for me if Pearl Jam goes this route. I much prefer arenas, but if it means Boston is a regular stop then what the hell I guess.0 -

I think it really just comes down to capacity. These acts couldn't sell out Gillette, but have outgrown the Garden.0 -

I think the novelty had a lot to do with it, but the timing contributed as well. If they tried to fit Fenway in for a run through the Northeast, I can’t imagine they would try for two nights. Come to think of it, they only played one Boston show in 2010... I wonder if they could even sell out a single night at Fenway if they had other northeast dates around it.0 -

Excited - I’m there, but been there, done that.I think it comes down to how long of a break they want to take after Europe. I think if there are ball park holds for mid/late August and Sept, we'll hear leaks soon enough. If they wait to go out in Oct/Nov (ala 2013) maybe it's not til Jan/Feb.
When do NHL/NBA schedules usually come out? That would be who they have to work around if they tour in Oct/Nov0 -
Not excited at all - Highly unlikely I attend.NDJeff7 said:Not sure I've seen this mentioned, but even though Fenway was enjoyable last year, the curfew really took away from both shows. The encores felt rushed and 3-4 songs got scratched each night. Once we got past 10pm you could see Ed checking the clock on the side of the stage. I'd much rather see them in an arena where there isn't a hard 10:30 curfew.0

Tickets said 6:30 for a reason. Bands that play Fenway often start earlier than they do in other venues. PJ has struggled with that.___________________________________________

Indifferent (pun intended) - Might see me there.nycrats said:I feel like the last few years of stadiums has tainted how I feel about the level of interest in seeing the band and that makes me sad. I used to be of the “just play anywhere” group and I went and I traveled to Chicago and Boston, multiple times, and the experience has just felt different
the passion has subsided after seeing them for 20 years. All the merch, and the far away seats, and the crowds, and the Kevin youkillis, and the baseball jerseys, just all of it feels well, not like it used to.looking to hear of the earth0 -

I agree with this. Even though my wife and I live about two hours north on Boston we didn't even bother put in for Fenway the second time around because of the venue.
