I think I have a good idea of cities and routing. Only questions I have are any surprises and is sin city on the list?

Yeah, the picture is coming together
  • What is the consensus on Denver and Phoenix?  Trying to put together a spring break trip...

    Denver 4/6
    Phoenix 4/9 or 4/10?

Please dont play Newark or Brooklyn.  MSG or bust. Id go back to Uniondale if they ever had the balls to go back.
    Newark is a great venue!!
Never been to MSG in my life. I’m already committed to 4 shows. Do I have to add a 5th?
And I don’t mean is MSG one of the shows as that seems confirmed. I just mean do I have to experience a MSG show?

St Louis rumored as 4/4 correct? If so, Denver 4/6 might be a day early. Pure speculation.

4/10 Phoenix on a Friday would be great.

Now that Phx seems to be confirmed, question is Gila River or Talking Stick?

Good info. I’m guessing 4/8 Denver and 4/10 Phoenix.
  • If San Diego is sometime between 4/13-4/20, then Phoenix is most likely right before SD. So maybe Vegas between Denver and Phoenix is happening to push the Phoenix show closer to San Diego for logistical purposes? Or does Ed just want a few extra days off between Phoenix and SD to spend time with family and friends?

I see people guessing SNL near when we think the MSG show is.  Remember SNL  doesn't have to be a logical part of the tour logistics... No stage, lights, etc. to transport. So it can be whenever they are ready to promote the album and fit into the SNL sked... Could be before the North America tour starts.

I’d vote no. I went for the first time in 2016. It was a good show and a good venue but I didn’t think that it was a “can’t miss” opportunity.
    Boston (4/10/94), Hartford (10/2/96), Barre (8/22/98), Hartford (9/13/98), Mansfield (9/15/98 + 9/16/98), Mansfield (8/29/00 + 8/30/00), Mansfield (7/2/03 + 7/11/03), Boston (9/28/04), Hartford (5/13/06), Boston (5/24/06 + 5/25/06), Hartford (6/27/08), Mansfield (6/28/08 + 6/30/08), Philadelphia (10/31/09), Hartford (5/15/10), Worcester (10/15/13 + 10/16/13), Hartford (10/25/13), New York (5/1/16), Boston (8/5/16 + 8/7/16), Boston (9/2/18 + 9/4/18)

***Rumored stops/dates/order. This is pure speculation based on the hints, and open arena dates as I remember (not the most reliable source). Please feel free to correct, criticize, eliminate... etc.***
? Canada dates (sometime between 3/18 and 3/26)
    3/28 Baltimore
    3/30 NYC
    4/2 Nashville
    4/4 St Louis
    ? Denver
    ? Phoenix
? California dates (LA?, San Diego, Oakland)
I think we have managed to figure out that the tour begins march 18 in Toronto.  I don't believe the 28th is correct for Baltimore.   I believe it has to be either the 26th or 27th or 31st or april 1st.  My reasoning is because I believe they will be doing SNL on the 28th and i think dimi has said there is only 1 saturday date on the tour (correct dimi??) and I think we have figured out that will be st. Louis on April 4th.
Someone asked about visiting Baltimore that weekend and Dimi said why not so 27th or 28th makes sense if NY is really the 30th..and Maryland was an odd numbered blue state as 1 to start US portion
Fans seemed pretty solid on NYC being Mar 30 and almost as much with Balt on the 28th. If SNL is 3/28 then 3/27 is possible for Balt? Since dimi  is taking a well deserved day off we'll have to wait :)

The arena in Balt is tiny. With only 2 east coast shows, SNL might be the easiest ticket.
How does one get a ticket for SNL? Is this a camp out all day affair, for a MAYBE shot at a ticket? To hear two songs?

As a NYer, PJ MSG shows are overhyped. Pearl Jam put on fabulous performances at MSG in ‘98 and ‘03 and since then people think they’re the Mecca.

It’s a good show, but it wouldn’t be my top 10. Hartford / Philly / Bmore / DC all have had better shows since ‘03 IMO.

And I’m not just saying that to help my odds. ;)

My favorite shows from the last several years have been Charlottesville, Oslo 2014, Leeds, Quebec City, Telluride, etc....  You don't need the Northeast to have a great show, but the Northeast has great shows.

I think it’s a great boot, but I’ve heard repeatedly the crowd was a dud. Wasnt there so can’t comment on McGruffs failure to clap.

The crowd was absolutely putrid.  If this set list was played at msg the place would probably have collapsed.   (I fully admit to not clapping when you are was played that night.)

@dimitrispearljam, any shows on back to back nights?
    Oulala

2 msg shows back to back

Ah. Dimipj is a closet NHL fan and loves vintage Rangers jeans commercials circa 1980

     "Ooh, la la, Sasson"

MSG sound since the reno has gone downhill because they put in balconies near the top that messes with what used to be a perfect space for sound waves.

The 10c odds, with only 2 east coast shows, will be absurdly low. Resale tickets will probably be $350 to 500 just to get in the satellite seats.

Crowds are decent, but usually night one has more energy.
  • Can anyone post a synopsis of what dates are pretty much confirmed?
or you can come to terms and realize
you're the only one who can forgive yourself oh yeah...
makes much more sense to live in the present tense...

    1995:  7/11 (Chicago) 2009: 8/23, 8/24 (Chicago) 2010:  5/9 (Cleveland) 2013 7/19 (Chicago) 2016: 4/9 (Miami), 5/1 (NYC), 8/20 & 8/22 (Chicago)
    2018: 8/18 (Chicago) & 8/20 (Chicago) 2022:  9/11 (NYC), 9/18 (STL) 2023:  9/5 (Chicago), 9/7 (Chicago) 2024:  8/29 (Chicago), 8/31 (Chicago)

  • Dimi - with all due respect: As of today I am not able to understand any political impetus of the tour: A brief run through Canada and a handful of american cities, a variety of the usual suspects in Europe an then? I mean, don’t get me wrong I am happy to See the band wherever it takes me, but it does not appear particularly political up to this point.
