Sleight of Hand has been getting to me recently, think its very emotional.
Mostly all of Ten is extraordinarily emotional lyrically and musically, with Black, Once, Release, Alive, and Garden.
Life reveals what is dealt through seasons
Circle comes around each time
INDIFFERENCE IS BY FAR!!!!!!!
I think that this is a suicide song and suicide is very emotional as in the effects it has on the person and his/her loved ones
corduroy is my favourite song.....I play it constantly.....he really seems to get places with it.....I feel something strong.....heh.....I love it....I can't express it......corduroy.....yes!!!!
Yeah dude, I totally agree with you. Corduroy is such an amazing song, I just love listening to it. Especially the original version off of Vitalogy. The intro just gives you chills, I love the bass in the background of Eddie's guitar.
It's freaky that it comes back to me now, but six years ago i was trapped in a terrible relationship and i remember how a friend of mine sat me down and played betterman. The lines..."she lies and says she's in love with him, can't find a better man..." the story of my life...i think it's his most emotional song ever!
The reason why PJ is my favorite band is that there are emotions in every song, sometimes it's sad (Black, Fatal), upbeat (a lot on Yield), reflective (Sleight of Hand) sometimes angry (Why Go). I don't find that kind of emotions in most other bands. Not to say that it's not there, I just can't find it.
Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?
for me betterman is too much. sometimes i skip to the next song. but when i do listen to it, i listen to it on my own because its like, no one elses business. its so personal, i cant explain it.
At the first,a'm sorry for my bad english.
As for the most emotional song,I think it's possible to say only at live perfomance. The Heart and feeling are there. In the Studios, the songs repeat 100 times and They take for as the best.
"...let.s buy the Museum and write our names on the Wall...''
I'm sort of embarrased to say my wife and I have recently seperated for a number of reasons which I won't get into. Any way, I was listening to Binaural the other day for the hell of it and actually listened to the lyrics to Light Years for the first time. I fuckin' broke down. No joke.
Now you have to understand, I'm a drummer so I always listen to the drums first, the sound of the music, including Ed's voice as an instrument--but I don't always focus on the lyrics...my mind sort of makes up my own words without really verifying them. It's not that I don't like Ed's lyrics, because I do...when I say my mind makes them up, they really I really mean to say I follow along but couldn't sing word for word on every tune...more to the point, it's just that I really love the whole package together. I'm probably not making sense.
Well, anyway, for the first time I understood the lyrics to Light Years and what a beautiful song it really is. Seriously. God that man is gifted.
So this post is for my wife...talk about emotional...she lives Florida now.
Karen if you read this...we were but Stones, your light made us stars.

Nice post coutchboy. I think it's the emotion 'we' get from PJ songs. Everyone will have there own interpretation of a song/lyrics and that is the beauty of PJ songs...they bring out emotions specific to our life experiences.
I dont even know if he wrote it, but Open Road is pretty emotional. I'd love to hear anyones comments on that song.

Hey Lady, give me a break. The original post did not specify whether it was the most emotional in Ed's eyes, or the most in ours. Did it? No harm, no foul.
